Chapter 6 6 – The Lair
Ritor\'s gaze was fixed on the open gate of an old castle. He doesn\'t understand his master anymore. Instead of making him destroy the humans, Lord Vorn ordered him to come to this goblin lair.
There are very few of those little monsters in this world. Their existence is insignificant. And, of course, the chances of them ruling this world were slim.
Ritor is still new to this world. He was born a few days ago. However, those pieces of information were already embedded in his brain. He didn\'t know why it happened and didn\'t even bother to find out.
So, he feels that the ones that must be destroyed are human beings. They are the race that rules this world. They had to disappear for Lord Vorn to ascend to the top.
The Minotaur scratched his head, entering the dirty, cobweb-infested building. There\'s no point in thinking those things. He prefers to use muscles than brains.
"Hey, come out!!!" He let out a booming sound, rattling the cracked walls. "Fight me, or I will destroy this place!!!"
Not getting any answer, Ritor dashed forward. Each step shook the floor, causing a rumble.
And in the blink of an eye, several arrows pierced his body. Even so, he continued to advance. Pains were nothing to him.
"Don\'t be cowards!!!" Ritor drew all the arrows in his body. "Get out!!!"
Screams full of anger rang out from a distance, then green creatures sprang up from a passage. Their height only reaches the stomach of an adult human. Using only loincloths, they ran while holding up various weapons, ranging from clubs to knives.
Ritor took his huge axe from his back. With one big swing, he managed to send the goblins into the air.
Instead of being scared, those little monsters are becoming more violent. They continued to attack, some even trying to climb up the Minotaur\'s body. However, Ritor was able to release them and slam them down.
Blood was already pouring from Ritor\'s body. The bruises are also increasing. However, all of that didn\'t stop him at all. He continued to finish off his foes, scattering their limbs and organs everywhere, also flooding the floor with red blood.
"Argh!!! Ritor felt an immeasurable heat hit his face. Then, another fireball came hitting his body. The Minotaur\'s gaze shifted to the corner of the room.
A goblin with a tattered purple robe was standing there, holding a staff much taller than him.
Ritor repelled his remaining enemies, then ran to the magic user.
The goblin mage frantically shot fireballs, but they still had no effect. Ritor is getting closer.
The magic-user turned to flee, but it was too late. The Minotaur managed to catch one of his legs.
With a thunderous roar, Ritor slammed the monster down. Not just once, but over and over again. It didn\'t take long for the little monster\'s body to crumble.
The Minotaur threw away the goblin mage\'s corpse, then looked around. He only found the scattered bodies of goblins.
"Come on! This is all you have!? I\'m not satisfied!!! I still want to fight!!!"
Ritor\'s shout was answered by a growl from the hallway. Before long, a giant goblin came out from there. A scraping sound resounded as the big-belly monster dragged along an enormous battle hammer.
Ritor grinned at the goblin, who was almost the same height as him. "Great! Finally, a real battle!!!"
The giant goblin let out a loud snort, then ran. Ritor also lunged forward while raising his weapon.
A deafening clank resounded as the two monsters\' weapons clashed. They widened their eyes when they saw the hilts of their weapons were broken.
The giant goblin took the initiative to punch Ritor in the face. The Minotaur didn\'t want to lose. He repays it by putting his fist into his opponent\'s stomach.
They keep exchanging blows. Those two monsters didn\'t want to lose, despite the increasing number of bruises on their faces and bodies.
Every time their fists hit the target, it made a sound like an explosion. It\'s because their bodies are as hard as concrete.
"Ha ha ha!!!" Ritor\'s laughter was full of enthusiasm. "This is great!!! You are a worthy opponent for me!!!"
The giant goblin only replied with another growl.
"Ugh!!!" One uppercut from his opponent forced Ritor to stumble backward.
It was a lucky punch. The giant goblin just happened to hit a vital part. Ritor knew that, so he wouldn\'t let himself lose.
The Minotaur forced himself to his feet, then stepped forward and caught the giant goblin\'s leg.
With a loud groan, Ritor lifted his opponent up high.
"Eat this!!!" The Minotaur slammed the green creature to the floor, causing a giant crack.
And before his opponent could move, Ritor stomped his head. The giant goblin could only convulse because the Minotaur kept hitting him with the sole of his foot.
The stomping sound was mixed with terrifying cracklings, indicating that the goblin\'s skull was being crushed.
Ritor screamed as he did the last stomp. Finding his enemy motionless, he took a step back with a ragged breath.
The giant goblin\'s face was no longer recognizable. Ritor chuckled at that.
This is not too bad. All the cuts and bruises that Ritor got were worth it. He had good entertainment.
Ritor picked up his broken axe, looked at it for a moment, then threw it away. He wanted to celebrate this victory, but his task was not finished. Although his legs felt a bit heavy because he had run out of stamina, the Minotaur continued on his way.
This time he found no obstacle at all. Perhaps he had already defeated all the inhabitants of this place, or the remaining ones had fled.
Snorting, he opened one of the doors to a room in a hallway, then slammed it hard when he found nothing inside. This annoyed him, but Lord Vorn\'s orders were absolute.
"Where are you!!??" Frustated, Ritor hit the wall after opening the fifth room.
The horned beast was dumbfounded. He heard a clatter at the end of the hall.
It was like the sound of a chain. Maybe because Ritor\'s fist shook the wall, that metal object moved.
Ritor hurried to the last room in the hall. His ears could barely pick up the muffled sobs.
