Chapter 26 Sun Light - [Updated]
As we ascend towards the surface, the heavy atmosphere of the cave begins to dissipate. I feel the sunlight gently shining through the openings in the ground, illuminating the path ahead of us. Accompanied by the mermaid and my army of stone golems, we advance towards freedom.
However, even with the promise of finally breathing fresh air, the princess, still overcome with emotion, cannot contain her tears. Her cries echo in the surroundings, blending with the sound of our footsteps amidst the earth.
Recognizing her distress, I pause for a moment, looking at her sincerely. It is a heavy burden to know that I am responsible for the destruction of her people, those whom she loved and had relationships with.
With a calm voice, I try to console her. "I understand your pain and despair. I am the killer of your people, and I fully accept responsibility for it." My words are filled with sincerity, as I cannot deny the truth of what I have done.
"I... I had a sexual relationship with the killer of my own people," she says between sobs. "And, to make it worse, I... I actually enjoyed being filled."
The mermaid sobs and amidst her tears, she utters confused words. She admits to having developed feelings for me, even knowing that I am the cause of her sorrow.
Upon hearing her, my stone heart trembles and shakes, I look to the side and move closer to her, wrapping my arm around her waist and kissing her neck, then lifting one of my hands towards her chin and saying, "Look at me!" She takes a deep breath and meets my two eyes, I see her tears flowing, revealing a powerful cyan blue eye. I open my mouth and say, "I know that what I did caused you sadness, but remember, from now on you are one of my women, future empresses of the world."
She doesn\'t answer and continues to cry. I take a deep breath and think, why should I bother with a woman\'s tears? Being that I\'m in a magical world?
At some point in the future I will rape many women and destroy entire worlds, so I can\'t let these pathetic feelings overwhelm me.
Upon finally emerging onto the surface, my eyes, accustomed to the oppressive darkness, struggled to adjust to the intense sunlight that now flooded my field of vision. A mix of disorientation and awe enveloped me as I realized that night had given way to a daytime spectacle.
I looked up, gazing at a vast and open sky painted in a vibrant shade of blue. It was as if the horizon itself stretched into infinity, giving me a sense of freedom and expansion. The sunlight, bright and warm, radiated from the sunbeams streaming through scattered clouds. Each beam of light bathed the landscape in a golden aura, as if nature were celebrating my release from the dark depths.
The sun itself was an incandescent sphere, hovering in the sky with indescribable majesty. Its rays reached every corner of the earth, bringing life and warmth to the surface. The light filtered through the leaves of trees, creating a mosaic of dancing shadows on the ground. The warmth of the sun touched my skin, enveloping me in a comforting sensation of heat and revitalizing energy.
The wind blew gently, caressing my face and carrying with it the fresh scent of freshly excavated earth.
Once my eyes started working again, my cold and indifferent expression didn\'t waver as I came face to face with the desolate sight of the destroyed city before me. Once-bustling streets were now littered with rubble and debris, silent witnesses to the violence that ravaged this land.
However, the impact of the destruction was momentarily overshadowed by the deafening scream of the siren beside me.
Their wails echoed through the air, carrying the pain of losing their loved ones. I felt a twinge of pleasure in my heart, even though I kept my expression permanently serious.
It would be hypocritical of me to feel sorry or sad because I killed people and raped women without a second thought.
So this mermaid can cry, I really don\'t care!
While the mermaid wept and lamented, my gaze swept the surroundings and I noticed creatures taking advantage of the chaotic situation. Wolf-men, with bestial features, rummaged through abandoned bodies and shattered houses, filling large leather bags with the spoils they found.
Anger consumed me. These looters were appropriating what is mine, what was conquered through effort and sacrifice. I cannot allow this to happen. I focus energy into my gauntlet, feeling it pulsate and radiate power. Commanding my army of golems, I order them to hunt down and destroy all approaching looters.
The golems, imposing and tireless, advance with determination. Their heavy footsteps echo through the empty streets, the ground trembling under their power. The glow of molten lava in their stone bodies shines with fiery might.
"BOOM!"
The looters, caught off guard by this unexpected threat, are taken aback by the ferocity of the golems. Cries of pain and despair fill the air as the wolf-men futilely struggle against the overwhelming force of the stone giants. The golems mercilessly crush them, their fists colliding with devastating force.
I retrieve the energy pistol from my inventory and start shooting in all directions, each time I pull the trigger, a wolf monster falls to the ground, dropping items from their backpacks.
"Zhhiioonnnn!"
The battle is swift and ruthless. The looters are subdued and decimated, their materialistic ambitions reduced to ashes along with their bodies. The golems, obedient to my commands, leave no survivors.
I observe the carnage, my expression remaining unchanged. Despite the chaos and destruction surrounding us, I, the lord of these creatures of stone and fire, assert my dominion over this ravaged land. The lesson is clear: those who dare to appropriate what is mine will pay a terrible price.

With the city enveloped in silence again, except for the agonizing groans of the defeated looters, a sense of satisfaction fills me. The resources that belong to me have been preserved, and a warning has been given to intruders.
As the mermaid, still enveloped in her pain, watches the scene by my side, a mixture of fear and admiration shows on her face. She understands that, though my actions may seem cruel and heartless, they are necessary to protect what is mine. In a whisper, I tell her, "This is the price of survival, of claiming what is rightfully mine. Let it be clear: I will not allow anyone who fights against me to live!"
