Chapter 411 408- The Truth (3)
Jun clenched his fists but decided it wasn\'t the time to continue keeping everyone in the dark.
"It\'s senior disciple brother\'s Fire Qi, for some reason it\'s going out of control. It-It feels like something else is controlling it; like it doesn\'t belong to senior disciple brother. The problem was manageable if senior disciple brother continuously circulates his cultivation method, but once he stops the Fire Qi starts to try and devour the other elements inside of him."
Hearing this Fei Yin asked.
"Is that why he was always a seclusion?"
Jun nodded his head.
"That bastard! Why did he tell you but didn\'t tell the rest of us?! If he had we would have tried to help him! But instead, he tries to do everything alone, now look what happened! Fuck!!"
Mu Fan yelled and cursed as he turned to glare at Yang Su in the distance.
But Jun shook his head and said.
"He didn\'t tell me, I only found out when I saw it with my ability. But senior brother likely didn\'t tell us because we couldn\'t have helped him, only Master could. But I…if I use my ability I can at least slow down the process."
As Jun said that he slowly got up.
Fang Chen shot him a glance and said coldly.
"You\'ll die."
Two pairs of wings suddenly appeared on Jun\'s back and he release a faint smile. But with a pale face and blood stains at the corner of his lips, his smile looked tragic, almost like he was saying goodbye.
"It\'s either me or senior disciple brother. I chose senior disciple brother."
After saying that Jun went to fly up, but Lihua suddenly stood in front of him with her arms stretched wide.
Tears were in her eyes as she looked at Jun with an angry expression.
"Lihua, if it were you or anyone else I would have done the same."
Lihua\'s lips quivered.
"Idiot! You aren\'t able to use your ability that well. What if the situation never changes despite sacrificing yourself? We need to think of an alternative instead. You-"
Lihua was suddenly cut off as Jun lean forward and actually kissed her.
After pulling away, Jun softly said.
"I should at least try. If I don\'t and something happens to senior disciple brother I won\'t be able to face Master on the Star Bound Continent."
Using his speed, Jun\'s figure vanished before anyone could protest further. He quickly made his way past the ship\'s barrier and immediately the crimson flames enveloped his figure.
Mu Fan seeing this gritted his teeth and was about to follow him, but Li Wen stopped him.
"I haven\'t been doing my job as the oldest in the group. I should be the front runner of the group and protect you guys who are Young Master\'s friends, but I\'m ashamed of my lack of ability. Jun is already sacrificing his life, going now would just be needlessly dying, and I can\'t allow that for Young Master\'s sake."
Tai dropped to the floor and hold his head. To say he was angry and frustrated with himself would be an understatement.
Mu Fan gritted his teeth even harder but he didn\'t retort to Li Wen. Instead, he swiftly turned on his heels and walked over to Shiming who was in mediation some distance away.
Seeing Mu Fan walking over the members of the Ming Clan who were still conscious all stood up to block his path.
"Get out of my way!"
Mu Fan barked and a blast of saber intent shove these youths\' back.
Shiming who was seated cross-legged recovering from Sea King Modu\'s soul attack opened his eyes and got up.
"Stand down."
He said to his fellow Clan members as he walked forward to face Mu Fan.
Staring down at Shiming who was about two heads shorter than him, Mu Fan growled out.
"You caused this situation to happen, if it wasn\'t for you Jun wouldn\'t have to sacrifice himself to save that stubborn bastard."
Shiming hearing this recalled how he had to watch his uncle die and his eyes coldly looked at Mu Fan as he responded.
"Now we\'re even."
Mu Fan didn\'t understand what he meant by this but he was still enraged.
He threw out a punch that caused the air to tremble and Shiming did the same.
Outside of the ship, a tattoo of a Kun Peng appeared on Jun\'s forehead along with a luminescent white light around him. The crimson flames that engulfed his body were forced back several inches away from him.
Looking into the distance with his pupil-less eyes, Jun\'s expression showed resolved as he flew forward.
The closer he got to Yang Su the hotter the flames became, but using the power of his Kun Peng spirit Jun managed to force his way forward.
\'Is senior disciple brother releasing these flames on purpose to weaken his Fire Qi Divine Platform? This might be the best time for me to step in. As long as I can reach him I can help him suppress it.\'
This was what Jun thought, but as he was moments away from reaching Yang Su, a voice suddenly echoed out for all to hear.
"What is this?"
Soon after, a powerful aura swept over the ship and the surrounding area.
The crimson flames that threatened to break the ship\'s barrier were violently shoved back.
Through the flames, Jun saw Yang Su cough up a mouth full of blood as a result.
Turning to where the aura was coming from Jun saw the burly figure of Shi Lie Hu.
"Senior! Please stop!"
Jun cried out in a panic.
Shi Lei Hu turned to look at the ship with the fractured barrier and then at Yang Su who was releasing his Fire Qi.
He frowned and pushed his palm towards the flames.
A strong force slammed into the flames and destroyed them. Of course, he heard Jun yells to stop, but if he hadn\'t appeared and stopped these flames they would have broken the ship\'s barrier and killed the disciples on the ship.
First Shi Lei Hu would suppress these flames then he\'ll assess what was going on.
Jun seeing Shi Lei Hu\'s actions had rage bubbling in his heart. He turned to see Yang Su coughing out more blood before his figure went slack and started falling.
Yang Su was completely defenseless since his only focus was on releasing his Fire Qi. But as Shi Lie Hu came and forced his Fire Qi back, it was a situation where he was pressing his foot on the gas peddle as hard as he could only for an indestructible steel wall to suddenly appear in front of him causing him to crash.
The backlash of power caused his Qi to reverse and his meridians to form cracks in them. If it wasn\'t for the fact that Yang Su\'s meridians were stronger than ordinary then they would have completely shattered.
Luckily Shi Lie Hu had held back so the only outcome was Yang Su receiving a backlash and becoming unconscious.
This was what Shi Lei Hu thought, but Jun seeing that Yang Su had fallen unconscious knew the situation had just worsened.
"Damn it!"
Jun yelled and used his fastest speed possible to catch Yang Su. However, just as he moved to catch his body, Shi Lei Hu suddenly appeared next to Yang Su via teleportation and grabbed him.
Looking at Yang Su\'s somewhat burnt clothes he recognize them to be robes disciples of the Celestial Academy wore.
Frowning, Shi Lei Hu said.
"Why is a disciple of the Celestial Academy attacking the ship, where is Sea King Modu\'s clone?"
"Senior wait, he is my senior disciple brother and he wasn\'t attacking the ship!"
Jun appeared in front of Shi Lei Hu and grabbed towards Yang Su.
Shi Lei Hu seeing this frowned in displeasure and waved his hand towards him.
Jun suddenly felt his body being knocked back by a mysterious force.
"Child, what are you doing?"
"S-Senior, I can explain, but first let me help my senior disciple brother before it\'s too late!"
Shi Lei Hu hearing this had his frown deepen.
He came here to stop Sea King Modu, but instead, he happened upon this confusing situation. He swept his Divine Will outward in order to search for Sea King Modu\'s clone but found nothing.
Looking down at Yang Su, Shi Lei Hu could sense a faint aura that was growing around him that even caused him to feel apprehension.
Shi Lei Hu sent his Divine Will inside Yang Su to examine him.
Seeing that Shi Lei Hu was just ignoring him Jun could no longer hold himself back.
"Senior! Just let me-!"
Jun rushed forward once more, but all of a sudden Shi Lei Hu\'s expression changed and he quickly released Yang Su before grabbing Jun and teleporting away.
At the same time as he did, the ancient aura around Yang Su suddenly spiked and blood-red flames burst from his body.
The void distorted and twisted as these flames rose into the air.
Yang Su floated motionlessly in the air as the blood-red flames spread out and formed a large cape behind him.
Once again those horns and second pair of eyes appeared on his face, but this time they no longer looked like illusions but seemed real.
Another feature that appeared on Yang Su which wasn\'t there before was a crown of fire. It floated a few inches above his head.
Yang Su who was unconscious slowly opened his eyes. Immediate as his ruby red eyes laid sight on the world, it seemed like the natural Laws of Fire under heaven were suddenly frozen still.
It seemed like the God of fire had been awakened.
