Chapter 89 - Weird People of President Li company
Jing Lihua observed Li Zhiqiang\'s darkening face. "Hey come back!" Jing Lihua didn\'t know what kind of hell his thoughts had wandered to while she had been silent eating. If it was someone else than Jing Lihua, he would just stumble back and wouldn\'t dare to distract the \'Devil\' when he looked so- so- scary!
Once he faced Jing Lihua, the dark demons hovering over him vanished quickly and were replaced with smiling angels. "Why don\'t you just return with me? I have asked Li Xun to prepare."
"With you?" Jing Lihua was reminded of the private jets he owned. How could she forget that she was addressed to one of the richest men in whole mainland China. "Fine but I\'ll have to bring my secretary with me." Jing Lihua still had a lot to discuss ith Mei Xiu. Earlier that day Mei Xiu had sent her a text that something problems had occurred in her company in Beijing. Something to do with the Su family. Jing Lihua was waiting for the reports and planned to listen to her on her way to Beijing.
"Why not." Although he smiled, Jing Lihua failed to grasp the hidden devilish glint in his eyes.
Jing Lihua sent a message to Mei Xiu asking her to arrive at Li family residence in the evening.
That afternoon when she walked out holding the agreement papers in her hands, she was stared by everyone she encountered on her way. "What are these strange glances about?" If the people were not allowed to take pictures in the company, they would have already taken her shots and shared countless times. Li Xun\'s method was effective. When Jing Lihua walked by the lobby, she didn\'t see the reception lady. In fact, there was another woman who had replaced her.
The new reception lady shrank back in her chair once she felt Jing Lihua curious glance. There was visible fear in her eyes as she looked away trying to not be spotted by Jing Lihua. "The people in President Li company are so weird." Jing Lihua couldn\'t understand the strange atmosphere.
Jing Lihua shook hear head and hoarded her car. She gave Wang Yi an address. It took them more than an hour to arrive at the place in the high traffic of Hong Kong.
"Stay here. I\'ll arrive in an hour." Jing Lihua climbed out of the car and headed for the stairs. The residential block was relatively low key and cheap. Jing Lihua\'s lips curled up as she walked into the elevator. On the sixth floor, she walked out and headed for the room no Heng Bingwen had messaged her.
After just one knock the door was opened.
"President, you are already here?" Heng Bingwen adjusted his glasses. He was a little embarrassed to step aside and let his President in. "Don\'t mind the mess." His cheeks flushed as he coughed awkwardly. The floor littered with pizza boxes and dirty cloth.
Jing Lihua shook her head helplessly. "You need some discipline. In just two days, you managed to ruin this place. It seems I need to pay a visit to your mother." Youngsters nowadays.
"President let\'s just ignore it. I have already gotten everything you asked me to. We should discuss that." Between all the mess, he very respectfully pulled out a chair for Jing Lihua and took the chair in front of his huge computers, not far from her and began explaining. "Six years ago you had gone missing for a whole month. Someone had cleared the records. But you know me. Nothing can stay hidden from my eyes. President, you would be surprised to find out what I discovered. Your absence six years ago linked to the prestigious Li family of Hong Kong." Hng Bingwen looked prideful. With a smug face at his \'huge\' discovery, he looked at Jing Lihua expecting a shocked gasp from her.
Only to be disappointed...
"I already know that. Is there anything worthy you found?" Jing Lihua had very natural and calm expressions.
Worthy...
It hurts...
Heng Bingwen straight shoulders sagged. Two night worth of his hard relentless work went to waste just like that?
"President try to recall something. Is everything blank within that span of one month you went missing?"
"I have been remembering a few things recently. It seems to be coming back to me. Slowly yet steadily I\'m remembering things that were totally blacked out first."
"In that case, I want to show you the photo of a person." As he said that a photo surfaced on his huge screen. "Try to recall the person in the photo."
In the photo, there was a pair of two females. One older and one younger. "It is me." The younger one had a face clearly similar to Jing Lihua. Her features were clear and her hair was short. What she recognized herself with were her green eyes. It was the younger version of her.
"Who is this woman beside me?" Jing Lihua leaned in and squinted her eyes trying to recognize the woman. The woman was obviously a little older than her, perhaps by two years or more. She had long sleek hair extending to her waist. Her beautiful features were distinctive. The air around her was very warm. And the way her arms rested on top of Jing Lihua\'s shoulders and supported her, she could tell that the woman was obviously caring about her.
Whether it was a genuine concern or fake, Jing Lihua couldn\'t tell from the mere photo
"Who could she be? How could I forget her?"
"President you don\'t recall anything about that woman? Try to look closely." Heng Bingwen sounded disappointed. "I have researched the medical reason for your memory loss. It is something related to head trauma that can cause memory loss for a specific time span before the injury. And the way to recover your memory is to expose you to the places or people within the span that had been blacked out. You must recall something about this woman. It might give us more clues to find what happened next once sh brought you to Hong Kong..."
"Wait! Are you telling me that she is the one who brought me to Hong Kong?" Jing Lihua was shocked. "Who exactly is she?"
