Chapter 240: I Want A Fight

Chapter 240: I Want A Fight

I Want A Fight . . .

Despite the remarkable progress Bing-Er had made in her recovery, one aspect remained imperfect – her inability to recall any of her lost memories. Occasionally, as she tried to recollect fragments of her past, it would trigger painful headaches, leaving her disheartened and frustrated. Cha-Eun Xiao couldn't help but feel powerless in the face of her predicament.

The upcoming auction was a significant event scheduled for the next day, and it had gathered all the distinguished forces in the capital. Everyone who had received an invitation from the Ling-Bao Hall had made their way to the event. A rather intriguing development had taken place recently that raised eyebrows within the city.

Room Tian No.1, known as the most opulent and prestigious chamber in the Ling-Bao Hall, had been reserved. This room was typically reserved for the most influential and affluent individuals, a fact widely recognized by all. However, this time, the identity of the person who had booked the room remained shrouded in secrecy. Even Cha-Eun Xiao himself was unaware of the details, with only Wan Zheng-Hao privy to the information.

This was consistent with the strict protocols of the auction house, and Cha-Eun Xiao hadn't had the opportunity to inquire with Wan Zheng-Hao about it. He had been absent from the Ling-Bao Hall for a while, creating a situation that left Wan Zheng-Hao with no opportunity to discuss this matter with him.

The reason for Cha-Eun Xiao's extended absence from the Ling-Bao Hall was somewhat embarrassing. Bing-Er had finally regained some mobility, although her injuries persisted, and she was still in considerable pain. Her innate sense of modesty drove her to seek independence from Cha-Eun Xiao as quickly as possible.

"When I'm better, I'll take care of you properly," Bing-Er promised, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "You're not someone who should be serving others."

Cha-Eun Xiao found himself in an awkward position, as he didn't have a legitimate reason to oppose her desire for self-sufficiency, even though he was reluctant to stop caring for her.

Cha-Eun Xiao couldn't bear to see Bing-Er in pain, so he ventured out to procure some Bone Connecting Grass, a medicinal herb that might alleviate her suffering. He had purchased nearly all the available medical supplies from various apothecaries in the capital. Since the auction was approaching, these stores had promptly restocked their shelves. It was the very day when one of these shops had promised to have the medical materials he required ready.

Scarcely a moment after obtaining the Bone Connecting Grass, Wen-Ren Chu-Chu approached him, her expression stern. "Come with me," she commanded.

Cha-Eun Xiao sighed inwardly. Sensing her icy, murderous intent, as well as her unwavering pride, he had no choice but to comply. Clutching the herb, he followed Wen-Ren Chu-Chu.

He knew he had to go, for he was dealing with a formidable young lady who was in a decidedly fiery mood.

However, under the dual pressures exerted by these two women, a sense of defiance began to surge within Cha-Eun Xiao. There was a part of him, hidden deep within, that was ready to take action.

This internal response startled him.

"Master Feng," Bing Xin-Yue, still attired in her pristine white dress, addressed him with an air of cold dignity. "Please accept our invitation, even if it might not have been extended in the most courteous manner."

Cha-Eun Xiao rubbed his nose once more and offered a polite smile. "Not at all. Being invited by two lovely ladies is a delightful experience. I have longed for such an opportunity," he remarked. Internally, he couldn't help but think, *The wrong way? Your disciple nearly kidnapped me, and I can't be offended? Well, I certainly am offended! And I'll have my revenge, though I'm not strong enough yet. But when the time comes, you'll understand what it means to deal with a person who holds grudges.* Although he fantasized about such scenarios, his outward demeanor remained entirely composed and agreeable.

Bing Xin-Yue appeared to waver, her gaze locked onto Cha-Eun Xiao's. Neither of them uttered a word, and a profound silence enveloped them, leaving onlookers to wonder what thoughts were passing between them.

Wen-Ren Chu-Chu, who stood nearby, grew impatient and exploded, "Why aren't you saying anything?"

The furious shout was undoubtedly directed at Cha-Eun Xiao. As Wen-Ren Chu-Chu witnessed Cha-Eun Xiao and her master, Bing Xin-Yue, engaging in a prolonged stare-down, a sense of unexplained anger overcame her.

They continued to exchange glances, and to Wen-Ren Chu-Chu, it seemed that something was transpiring in that prolonged gaze—something that piqued her curiosity.

Cha-Eun Xiao, feeling somewhat wronged, defended himself. "You dragged me here without any explanation. I'm clueless about why I'm here or what you want from me. How am I supposed to know what to say?"

Then, as if he had an epiphany, he turned his attention to Wen-Ren Chu-Chu and remarked, "Oh, right, Lady Wen-Ren, you look exceptionally lovely today."

Wen-Ren Chu-Chu was taken aback by the sudden compliment. She blushed slightly, surprised by her own reaction. "Do I?" she responded.

Cha-Eun Xiao nodded with sincerity. "Certainly," he replied. "Your complexion appears fairer than before. You must have gained weight again." With a tone of appreciation and conviction, he continued, "You definitely have. A little weight gain is a good thing. Congratulations."

His demeanor and words were reminiscent of someone observing a pig they had raised and realizing it had grown larger. It was as though he had just discovered that his pig had finally gained some weight and could now be sold for profit.

"You!" Wen-Ren Chu-Chu seethed, her face turning pale. She clenched her teeth and glared fiercely at Cha-Eun Xiao, as if she were contemplating devouring him whole.

Cha-Eun Xiao maintained his earnest expression. "I've always been an honest man," he explained. "Just take a look at your waist—it's gotten larger. Not by much, but... Well, it's a shame. It would be even better if it were a bit bigger."

His words were delivered with a tinge of regret, implying that he was dissatisfied with the current size of her waist.

"I'll beat you to death!" Wen-Ren Chu-Chu could no longer contain her anger. She charged at him, launching a barrage of punches.

Cha-Eun Xiao had been teasing her with the intention of provoking a reaction, and now he had succeeded. He wouldn't back down from a fight he had provoked. Confronted with Wen-Ren Chu-Chu's fierce assault, he immediately fought back. The two of them transformed into whirlwinds, tumbling and clashing in the courtyard.

Wen-Ren Chu-Chu's face remained dark and cold, her fury burning like an inferno within. She was seething with anger.

*"Asshole! I weigh less than 50 kilograms! How could I possibly be fat? I've hardly eaten anything for days! There's no way my waist could have grown larger. And he had the audacity to suggest it should be bigger! How dare he!"*
