Chapter 252 The Mage's Association

When the guards heard of Allen’s ridicule, they were blinded by rage as they charged toward him, only to be stopped by Allen using his paralysis magic.

After paralyzing the guards, Allen, Alisceon, Iris, John, and Deus entered the Gaia Kingdom without minding the struggles of the guards as they tried to move their bodies.

As for why they dared to enter the kingdom without the guards’ consent, they had the first princess by their side! Why should they not enter the kingdom?

With a confident stride, they entered the Gaia Kingdom.

Of course, they encountered the other guards that were patrolling the kingdom, but none of them stopped Allen and his group from entering. Unlike the entrance guards from before, the guards who patrolled the kingdom weren’t bought by Alisceon’s royal siblings. So, seeing that Allen and his group were accompanied by the first princess, none of them intercepted Allen and his group.

As for the entrance guards that were paralyzed by Allen’s paralysis magic, he made sure to increase the duration of the paralysis magic until it would last an hour. So the entrance guards would suffer by standing outside the kingdom as if they were statues for an hour. Because of that, none of those guards would be able to report to Alisceon’s royal siblings.

When Allen and his group entered the kingdom, they were greeted with the sight of medieval-themed architecture, such as houses made out of stone and wood. Aside from that, there were tailor shops, bakeries, weaponries, and many more medieval infrastructures, as if they came out of a fantasy role-playing game.

What was the most eye-catching about not only this kingdom but also this world was the clear blue skies that were free from smog and the fresh breeze that made their hair and clothes flutter.

Walking on the paved road that was made out of stone, Allen’s group caught the attention of the citizens, especially Alisceon, since they recognized her as the first princess of their kingdom!

Not to mention, their handsome and beautiful appearances were eye-catching, so even without Alisceon’s status as the first princess, their group would still garner most of the attention.

Alisceon was already used to such an experience, while Allen and his chat group members didn’t mind the attention as they walked towards the direction where the Adventurer’s Guild was located.

After arriving at the Adventurer’s Guild, Alisceon handed a token that had her symbol on it to Deus and John. Thanking Alisceon, John and Deus went inside the Adventurer’s Guild as they parted ways with Allen, Iris, and Alisceon.

During the time that they were traveling to the Gaia Kingdom, it was already agreed that John and Deus would register in the Adventurer’s Guild on their own, while Alisceon would accompany Allen and Iris to the Mage’s Association.

The Mage’s Association was a much nobler place than the Adventurer’s Guild, so to register Allen at the Mage’s Association without any hassle, Alisceon needed to be present so that those old fossils at the Mage’s Association would keep their opinion to themselves.

After all, having a mage as young as Allen who would claim to be at the power level of a Highest Realm Peak Stage mage would attract the displeasure of the mages at the Mage’s Association.

So to prevent such a situation from escalating, Alisceon would accompany Allen not only to register Allen as a mage but also to register herself as a mage in training under Allen’s name. So that Allen and Alisceon’s teacher-student relationship would become official.

Arriving at the building that stood out due to the stone tower situated at the back of the building, Alisceon, Allen, and Iris entered the building since it was the Mage’s Association Headquarters.

When Allen entered the building, he noticed that there were numerous magic formations inscribed on the building so that it could be used for both defense and offense. As expected, mages were cautious and well-prepared individuals.

Arriving at the receptionist table of the Mage’s Association, an old man who acted as the receptionist looked at Allen’s group, but when his eyes landed on Alisceon, he immediately recognized her.

“Your highness, what brings you to the Mage’s Association?”

After greeting Alisceon, the old man asked her for her purpose in visiting the Mage’s Association.

Allen noticed that despite the old man being easygoing and acting as if he was an average old man, he still detected that the old man was hiding his strength. From his observations, Allen found out that the old man who acted as the receptionist was a High Realm Peak Stage mage.

So Allen had already deduced that, from the old man’s strength alone, he should be a high-ranking member of the Mage’s Association. For a high-ranking member to act as a receptionist, only meant that the old man was bored and had nothing to do, so he decided to take the post of a receptionist, albeit temporarily.

“Old Man William, no need to be polite. My teacher here is an unregistered mage, but don’t underestimate him since I have witnessed his power.”

Alisceon stated her purpose for visiting the Mage’s Association as she introduced Allen as her teacher.

“Oh? Her highness has finally found a magic teacher? And don’t worry. This old man might become senile but never stupid. If her highness has accepted him as her teacher, that alone is enough for me to not underestimate his capabilities.”

Old Man William responded politely to Alisceon as he assessed Allen’s appearance.

“For a magic teacher that her highness has chosen, you are very young. Follow me to the testing room so I can determine your rank as a mage.”

Old Man William walked out of the receptionist’s table and opened a door beside it, prompting Alisceon, Allen, and Iris to follow him as he entered the room.

Entering the door, they saw a crystal ball mounted on top of a pillar situated at the center of the room.

“Place your hand on the crystal ball. It will test your mana capacity, or the amount of mana you have.”
