Chapter 223 Wrong
[Type: 2nd gen Nanites]
[Grade: Military grade]
[Mass: 7kg]
[Features: Advanced nanobots programmed to perform tasks such as tissue engineering, organ repair, and disease diagnosis overly complex tasks such as body modification through genetic materials to gene editing. This is a military grade nanites. It is even more faster, resilient and powerful than the average 2nd generation nanobots]
[Warning: This nano bot appears to have been used at least twice. There might risk of infection leading to gene destabilisation or gene collapse.]
[Warning: This is a military grade nanite, getting caught by the enforcers would guarantee uninstallation of nanobots ands a few decades in isolation.]
The young man\'s face changed slightly. He didn\'t expect the Modifier he had set his eyes on to have gone through numerous users. One would have been alright but two users, the young man showed slight hesitation on his face. As for the second warning, he didn\'t put it to heart.
Checking on his Biofuel, his body could only produce limited amount of bio Fuel cells. Even lesser than an average teenager his age. But he was at least better than half the teenagers surviving in the slum.
He uses at least one third of his Bio Fuel to power his Neuro implant and extract at least half to sell for daily bread.
The Modifier would require half his bio Fuel to operate. If there was an infection in the nano bot, it would consume even more bio Fuel to fight off the infection which is why the young man was hesitant.
A few seconds later, the young man had made a decision and nodded almost imperceptibly.
"Haha! Good!" The trader was ecstatic, a sly grin conformed on his face. Huge sales like this usually made him happy and ecstatic.
Thee middle-aged trader\'s brows lit up, LED lights trailing from his brows all the way to the side of his forehead.
"My payment line is opened, connect and transfer the fifty-five thousand credits within."
The young man\'s flickering eyes paused. Ands he replied in a low tone. "It was fifty-thousand Credits the last time."
"Things change man, you should know that." The trader let out a cunning laugh and shrugged.
The young punk hesitated, knowing that he barely had enough credits to cover the cost.
Seeing the young man remain silent. The trader leaned in conspiratorially, "Tell you what. I have a special deal going on right nowa, I give you a first gen assistant nanite along with the Zen Strix."
Seeing as the young man was still hesitating, the trader persuaded, his face turning sad as he spoke
"To be honest, I am suffering a
Loss here instead. This 1st-gen could net me at least twenty thousand Credits. If it weren\'t for the fact that this annoying thing has been with me for over ten years without being sold and the fact that you are also a decent person, I would have never given it to you for free. "
The middle-aged trader rummaged through a nearby duffel bag, pulling out an array of shiny, metallic objects when he quickly pulled out an even heavier cube of metal from his pile of wares. This one though has uneven edges even while trying it\'s best to be perfectly square in shape the young man even doubted if this was actually a nano bot or just a pile of junk metal but his Neuro scan assured him that it was.
The young cyberpunk considered the offer for a moment before nodding in agreement. "Okay, deal."
The young man\'s eyes flickered as his augmented Neuro Implant sent a rapid-fire burst of encrypted credits to the black market trader\'s vault.
He watched the transfer progress bar crawl forward on his virtual display, the familiar rush of adrenaline flooding his senses at the thought of owning his own modifier.
The trader remained smiling through the entire process. His own neuro implants no doubt monitoring the exchange.
In the next second, the middle-aged trader smile widened, as the Credits entered his vault. "Nice doing business with you young man. Since you\'ve bought the gene Modifier, you will no doubt need a blue print and genetic materials to successfully edit your gene. I have Basic hand-hand combat chip as well as Advanced light-step chip. You can just slot it into your gene-port and possess various abilities!"
The young man frowned. The trader was right, he would need genetic materials as well as chips if he truly wanted to enhance his combat level and if he was using a high level genetic material h would require a blueprint for it also.
But even after all this, the question was, could he afford it? He had paid seven years of his saving on the gene Modifier how long would it require for him to get to purchase a blue print?
Without saying anymore words, the young man slipped the two heavy blocks of metal into his backpack. The first nano bot weigh just 7 kilogram but the second which was an ordinary assistant nanobot weigh at least 15 to 20 kg, making his pack heavy and it slowed him down as he made his way out of the market.
"Come back next time." The middle-aged trader\'s voice slowly faded. His scheming eyes revealing mocking looks watching the young man walking away.

Feeling a rush of excitement and eagerness at the thoughts of installing the nanites and the prospect of what he would be able to accomplish in the near future after becoming Spliggen.
Michael rushed towards his home with his head lowered.
He knew the dangers of this new world, but he was willing to take the risk if it meant getting ahead. With a renewed sense of confidence, he stepped out of the dark alley way into the neon-lit street.
But just as he had walked ten feets out into the street. Two pairs of hands locked at his shoulders in a vice grip before his neuro system could have the opportunity to warn him, he was forcefully dragged backwards into a dark alley like a kite whose rope was caught by a fast moving vehicl.
