Chapter 413 413. ISSUE
Lilua only had one path into its town walls, and it was pretty deserted from what Noah looked at. However, he felt certain that few carriages had gone up that path.
"Weird," Noah muttered casually walking up the clear path. It was filled with ups and downs and they made the journey to the top a bit more interesting.
Noah spent about ten minutes simply walking, and before he arrived in front of the gate, he wore a black face mask revealing only the upper portions of his face. Then he tied his long silky hair in a ponytail.
His figure donned in a sky-blue robe that spoke of quality arrived before the gate and his gaze fell on two men wielding spears.
Noah saw that they noticed him, and already planned all that he would say. He was not going to reveal his status as a member of a great guild. He was only a traveling cultivator.
"Who are you, and what is your business here?" One of the two individuals voiced loudly while both of them now had their spears pointed at him.
Noah felt disrespected by their actions, however. They were mere middle-staged cultivators. At lower stage, he could already wipe the floor with middle-staged cultivators. What sort of pride or feats did they think they had achieved by being guards to a town?
Noah shot a cold glare at both cultivators and didn\'t hesitate to reveal his intent to fight if it came to it.
It had been long since humans truly fell prey to his power.
The one who had addressed Noah cleared his throat and lowered his weapon at that event. His colleague doing the same.
"It\'s a rule that everyone, it didn\'t matter who they were had to give an account of themselves, as we don\'t ask for official identification since they can be falsified," the middle-aged man explained in a softer, more polite tone.
Both experts had felt Noah\'s anger from his glare, and truth be told fear had gripped them. Only they were experienced enough to hide it under a calm composure.
\'Definitely higher stage,\' the man speaking to Noah confirmed. \'At such a young age too,\' he shuddered inwardly, both in awe and envy.
"You should have said it like this, to begin with. Your hostile actions might get you killed," Noah revealed intentionally adding that threat to his words.
A shiver went down the spine of his audience, but they kept it under wraps and remained silent.
\'I am Sir George," Noah announced. "But you can refer to me simply as George."
The guards nodded at his words and the one speaking to him opened his mouth to speak again.
"What will you be doing here, sir George? Not many come here, at least not on days like this," the man asked. The end of his sentence remaining a mystery to Noah.
"I\'ve only come visiting," Noah announced. "I don\'t plan on doing anything grand. Or am I not allowed to come just for visiting?" An eyebrow rose on his face in a questioning gaze.
"Oh no, sir George! We only need a payment of 6 medium silver coins," The man explained.
"Town rules," he added to clear any misunderstandings that could arise.
"I see. Okay," Noah replied moving closer and handing over the required amount to the man.
"Welcome to Lilua!" Both of the guards bowed as they pushed the gate open for him.
Noah nodded and focused his gaze on the town he was stepping into.
A wave of surprise filled his mind at what lay before him, and he couldn\'t help but pause a bit.
He truly never expected that beauty in a town that people barely knew.
The streets were laid beautifully and there was hardly any carriage plying them. Mostly humans moving about their businesses.
The buildings were mostly short, but were all made in cubical shapes. In short, that place reminded him of an estate with it almost completely similar buildings.
His eyes took in his environment, and he didn\'t forget to note the stares his figure got. Obviously they were mostly from women, and he couldn\'t help but raise an eyebrow at how good the ladies there looked.
They were low leveled individuals, with the strongest being at the peak of tier 2, but most had looks that he would have no problem indulging in.
\'This is almost too good to be true,\' Noah thought, simply taking a long stroll around that area. His figure never stopped receiving stares, but he didn\'t care, He had long since gotten used to it, and he didn\'t even have his full face revealed.
\'Or is it something else?\' he wondered searching for a place he could have something to eat or rink. He was already interested in getting to know more about that place.
\'Maybe my power? I\'m far stronger than anyone I\'ve encountered since I got here. But my presence shouldn\'t be disturbing. Its not like they can sense my level or anything,\' he considered still searching.
Noah eventually found an establishment and he didn\'t hesitate to get into it and spend his money n what they offered.
\'I\'ll need money soon,\' he sighed inwardly, not missing the curious gazes the men within the bar threw at him. It was already around sundown. He had intentionally left Riveta\'s place close to that period.
"Do you need anything more?" The barkeeper asked him while he leaned on the bar sitting the stool available for him.
"No, thank you." Noah responded. "But I do want to know a bit about Lilua seeing as I\'m new here," he revealed, not scared one bit about his safety. He had the type of power that could kill everyone in the bar by just thinking of it.
"Hmm," the bald man at the peak of the second tier voiced.
"There\'s not much to know. We\'re a small town that hardly gets new people, so most of us know each other, We\'re basically a big family," the man explained wiping a mug with a clean brown cloth.
"Nevertheless, there are bad things, and one of them would be the fact that we have an issue with an annoying lot of criminals, and they have held the towns head\'s daughter hostage," the man revealed and Noah\'s eyebrow rose in silent curiosity.
