Chapter 498 498. SPEED ESSENCE POISONING

Noah\'s eyes remained cold and unfeeling as his figure remained covered in a silver light while he spun and made heads fly. Literally.

The position he had left saw the expansion of a multicolored wave of spectacular power lighting up the night sky for many kilometers.

He had left the head alone allowing the man to feel despair and real fear. The expert had been too slow compared to Noah. He could only let out a barrage of flames and huge pointy rocks.

Noah watched the balls of flames detonate, forcing him backward. His figure crashed into one of the dome-like structures, but he took off an instant later to arrive before the panicking expert.

Noah had experienced a total of 30 percent increase in strength. His power increased by 10% with each level. It was lesser than before but it was still a whole lot. He had grown exponentially in strength.

Allowing his daggers to disappear, he formed a fist and delivered a shattering punch to the man\'s side.

The elf shattered the sound barrier as his figure formed a descending arc.

Noah chased after the expert sensing that others were arriving. He caught up to the elf, grabbed him, and sprinted away from that region. The elves followed chase, but Noah had been smart enough to travel in a direction leading away from the city still in the far distance.

He arrived at a certain point where he had to let the elven male go.

"You bastard!" The expert roared as his figure emitted a dangerous brown light.

The ground burst open with power and a huge spike rose from the terrain below them to converge on Noah\'s figure.

He admitted that the expert had been incredibly precise with his attack, but that hardly did anything.

Noah didn\'t want to utilize any flashy moves to keep their location secret even for a bit. He had to resort to his wind affinity.

An expanding burst of violent wind exploded out from his figure turning the rocks into dust. Noah shot forward at the escaping expert.

"Is this all you have?" He mocked coldly, immediately appearing in front of the speeding expert. His right hand shot forward to grab his neck.

Noah applied pressure and watched the elf grab him by his nigh-metallic arm. His movement was frantic and he tried to cast a spell. Noah was still faster.

He spun the expert and hurled him toward the ground before pointing his finger at the descending individual. Huge bullets of spinning wind flew forward to hit the expert with horrendous precision.

The attacks were terrible. Each one of them carried a significant amount of essence, generating great power.

Merely four was enough to render the elf unconscious. Noah dived toward the ground to pick up the body. He bound the man with chains of ice before tapping him awake.

Before the expert woke up Noah forced Speed essence to enter his body. A preventive measure.

"You bastard. I\'ll kill you," stated the elf, a few seconds after he regained consciousness. He immediately tried to call upon his mana, but his face contorted and soon he convulsed a mouthful of blood.

He lifted his gaze to Noah\'s covered face. His eyes were red and his normally pale face had turned deathly pale.

"What did you do to me?" He questioned trying to call upon his mana again. Deep pain reached his mind and red blood dripped out of his eyes. His breathing turned shaky and the chill of death swept him followed by pain.

"You should stop trying to cast a spell. You\'re only killing yourself," Noah suggested, blank-toned. What he had done to the expert was the speed essence version of when he drank mana-filled water before the bloodline inheritance.

Due to his great connection with the world and mana in general, his body rejected that foreign essence and speed essence also rejected him. Causing that violent display.

Noah called it Speed essence poisoning. It was especially brutal when he had given the mass of essence further orders to be violent.

"What did you put inside me?" The expert\'s voice shook as a battle went on in his being. He raised his head in unfathomable agony and tried to voice a shot, but only blood poured out of his mind.

He was dying. Quickly at that.

"It\'s working far faster than I expected," Noah commented casually staring at the violently shaking man. He desired to watch the results of that event, but he needed questions answered. Especially before he reached the city.

Noah stretched forth his right hand and called upon the essence violating the elf\'s being.

Silver strands flowed out of the man at that point. Rank 4 essence was potent, but Noah could only know its fullness in his Speedling form.

Truth was he could never test out his full power unless he was in that form. He knew it would be spectacular.

The elven expert instantly stopped shaking and went unconscious again. Noah carried him and moved from that area sensing some elves reaching those regions.

He arrived at a small blue pond and jumped inside it, creating a wind bubble. In theory; his body had gone past the level of needing air to breathe. All tier 4\'s were like that. But take mana out of their reach and they became crippled.

"Wake up," Noah commanded, tapping the elf\'s face; pulling him out of his agony-induced slumber.

The expert had been asleep for ten minutes. His condition had gotten better quickly.

Noah watched him snap his eyes open and his mana threatened to move, but he regained awareness and instantly stopped.

His arrogant expression had vanished. Replaced by bone-chilling fear. What Noah had put him through he never wanted to experience again.

"Will you drop your attitude and listen to me now?" Noah asked already ready to make him suffer. Truthfully speaking he almost wanted a negative answer.

The expert sat up sweeping his gaze on their environment.

"What do you want to know?" The elf announced, his eyes somber and his gaze low.

"Now that\'s the right attitude. I want you to tell me everything," Noah gave a cold smile from beneath the Muliix\'s helmet. He sat cross-legged and listened to the elf speak.
