Chapter 101: At Least She Hugged Me
With rustling sounds, her gorgeous face suddenly appeared close and the two of them were so close that their noses almost touched.
Sheng Yang was suddenly stunned. Her eyes were glassy, her expression was blank, but she still looked like a delicate porcelain doll.
“What’s wrong?” Yi Juncheng tried to compose himself.
Her rosy lips were like soft jelly, challenging his self-control.
“I feel a bit…” Sheng Yang suddenly broke off.
“A bit what?” His low, magnetic voice rang in the room.
“I feel a bit out of breath.”
“…”
Yi Juncheng suddenly lifted his hand and a book appeared in his big hand. “Do you like this?”
Sheng Yang’s eyes brightened instantly and turned unabashedly hot. At first, there were two small sparks of fire in her eyes which soon grew rapidly and burned ablaze.
“Where did you get this book?” She hurriedly grabbed the book, flipping through it with relish. “Hasn’t this ‘Compilation of Ancient Medicines’ been out of print?”
She had been looking for this book for a long time but failed to find it. She had already given up. She didn’t expect Yi Juncheng to get her a copy.
“Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” Yi Juncheng didn’t know whether to sigh or smile when he saw how she looked at the book. It was like she was looking at her lover!
He suddenly had a headache. As Sheng Yang said, as handsome and popular as he was, he wasn’t as attractive as these lifeless books and materials at all in her eyes.
“Thank you!” Holding the book tightly, she seemed to be at a loss in regards to how to express her gratitude. She suddenly walked forward and gave him a hug, which caught Yi Juncheng completely off guard and a look of distress flashed across his handsome face.
It was just a very short hug without any emotion aside from gratitude, but her girly scent with a light orange fragrance soon filled his nose, although she just symbolically touched his waist.
But her small movements created a storm in Yi Juncheng’s heart. His narrowed eyes were wide open and a gleam flickered across his eyes.
She left his embrace soon after, the ends of her fluttering hair inadvertently brushed the tip of his nose, leaving a lingering sweet fragrance.
His heart was still pounding hard but she had already tied her hair into a bun and sat down at her desk.
Yi Juncheng propped his hand against the wall, gazed at her, and smiled silently and helplessly.
He suddenly didn’t feel that upset and his fingers stroked his chest which her face had just touched.
Hmm… at least she hugged me.

Soon it was the day of the school celebration, and a parent-teacher meeting was also going to be held today. Parents could attend the school celebration with their children.
To decide who would attend the school celebration, Sheng You and Kang Weizhen had been competing for half a month. At the company, they compared who brought higher profits to the company; at home, they compared who could drink more and even played the finger-guessing game.
So rumors swirled that the couple quarreled frequently because of their newly-returned illegitimate girl, although these rumors didn’t reach their ears.
In the end, half a month later, the two reached an agreement that they would go together. Making money certainly wasn’t as important as their beloved daughter.
