Wu Ma Hai disappeared into the forest. About the time it took to brew a cup of tea later, the faint sound of roaring resounded.

"They’ve been discovered." The Meishan Clan Master lifted his eyebrows.

Jian Huang laughed lightly. "There are countless dangers other than those Stone Sculpture Protectors that make it essentially impossible to just get through stealthily."

The Meishan Clan Master nodded as he casually replied, "We’ll be next to enter." Skipping pleasantries, he took off along with the white-robed young woman as well as the man dressed in black robes.

"They didn’t even ask for our opinions." To the side, Jian Huang looked towards where Xue Ying, Chen Jiu, and the others were all waiting. "Chen Jiu, Xue Ying, do you want to set off first, or should we go next?"

Chen Jiu exchanged a glance with Xue Ying.

"We are not in a hurry." Chen Jiu answered.

"Alright. We’ll be third to go then," Jian Huang replied, setting off before long.

Chen Jiu was a patient man, and Xue Ying wasn’t in any hurry either.

The sounds of fighting could be heard coming from different regions on the island; clearly, the battles had already begun.

"It’s about time for us to set off as well." Chen Jiu chuckled. "With those four teams having gone ahead, the pressure on us will be a bit lighter. Still, we can’t be too careless, or we might just end up buried on this island."

"I understand. Don’t worry, I’ll be right behind you." Saying this, Xue Ying disappeared into the Mirage.

Old Thief and Uncle Fu exchanged a glance.

The Floating Sky Island was relatively dangerous to them.

"Let’s go."

Chen Jiu, Old Thief, Uncle Fu, and Xue Ying, who was inside the Mirage, all began this trial of the Floating Sky Island.

******

Within the Mirage.

Xue Ying advanced quietly. He could see reflected in the Mirage anything happening in a range of five thousand kilometers around his position. Not only that, his nine Mirage Avatars allowed him to maintain an overview of the entire zone from a higher vantage point. Quite clearly, even an area as large as five thousand kilometers…was well within this observation radius.

A single glance filled Xue Ying’s with sorrow as he let out a sigh.

Wu Ma Hai’s team was rushing at the forefront. The huge distance to their location made it so he couldn’t see them very clearly, but the team seemed rather stealthy and didn’t arouse much activity outside the occasional battle.

Jian Huang’s team, though, had already surpassed the Meishan Clan Master’s team, taking over the second position. This team was more overbearing in their behaviour. Be it the Stone Sculpture Protectors or other enemies, the golden-robed Jian Huang would rush over even a thousand kilometers in advance and attack them! He put those Stone Sculpture Protectors in a tough position, as they couldn’t even see who they was attacking them.

Through using this tactic, the golden-robed Jian Huang’s team had advanced the fastest.

In the third place was still the Meishan Clan Master’s team, which was actually the most mysterious of them!

As they proceeded, space itself was changing and distorting. At times, they would be further ahead, only to then reappear further back! Despite Crimson Rock Mountain’s seal on space making them unable to teleport, the Meishan Clan Master’s team was truly formidable in terms of their comprehension of Space. They proceeded without facing any enemies.

Hua! A stone sculpture from the distance turned abruptly; its eyes glowed a dim golden light which seemed able to see through anything.

Xue Ying’s Mirage had even been seen through!

The Mirage wasn’t like the distortion of space used by the Meishan Clan Master’s team, which allowed them to distort the vision of the stone sculptures who looked their way! Naturally, the Meishan Clan Master’s team was essentially invisible to them!

Their control of space is truly frightening. Xue Ying was inwardly startled. To be considered a commander of a team really means you have to be extraordinary.

"Xue Ying."

A sound forcibly made its way into the Mirage. "Remember, neither your Mirage Avatars nor Old Thief’s Illusion Avatar can be used casually. If you absolutely must use them, try to be as stealthy as possible. If we’re discovered and those sculptures think there are ten people here, they might send even more Stone Sculptures Protectors rushing over to surround us."

"I understand," Xue Ying transmitted back. He was simultaneously shocked at the realization that, if Chen Jiu was able to transmit sound inside the Mirage, he was likely to also have a way to send attacks inside.

Xue Ying’s team carefully proceeded forward.

As they got closer to Meteor Bridge, more and more of those dangerous Stone Sculpture Protectors would show up, especially so for a large region just before the bridge of which more than half was covered in these sculptures. This was exactly the reason why Wu Ma Hai’s team had only begun fighting after the time it took to brew a cup of tea. Of course, this also meant that the other regions had fewer Stone Sculpture Protectors.

Crossing an arch bridge, walking along a stone path next to a river…it was quite clear that Xue Ying and the rest of the team were very cautiously moving ahead.

Kong~

All of a sudden, an enormous azure head shot out from the river. It had a bald horn, and its mouth was ferocious and filled with ivory teeth. Azure scales covered the creature’s body. As soon as it appeared, it charged out from the river.

Danger had struck so abruptly…

Chen Jiu looked towards the side.

Hong! An illusory golden dragon appeared in mid-air. Its upper-body was congealed, while its back was completely illusory. It immediately waved its sharp claws, striking the azure beast with tyrannical force. With a booming sound, the strange azure beast was slapped back into the river it came from before it was even able to completely leave.

"Let’s get away from here. If we get tangled up in this location, those sculptures will surely be attracted over," Chen Jiu’s voice simultaneously sounded out in the ears of Uncle Fu and Old Thief and within Xue Ying’s Mirage.

Xiu!

They were truly fast; within moments, they had crossed a few dozen kilometers along the path and entered the depths of the mountains. That strange beast tried to search for the team but didn’t find the slightest trace. In its rage, it let out a roar.

The previous battle had attracted the attention of the stone sculpture protectors who rushed over to this region.

Chen Jiu’s combat power really was very high. He could attack from many thousands of kilometers away from his target, and each of his strikes summoned an illusory dragon!

Even a stone sculpture protector would be forced backwards a few hundred somersaults by a single claw strike of the dragon.

This also let Xue Ying feel relatively more relaxed as they proceeded on.

Having strength really made a huge difference.

When it came to simple Era Suppressors, nine out of ten would perish on the Floating Sky Island, but the chances of survival for people like Chen Jiu, the Meishan Clan Master, and Wu Ma Hai was much higher.

"We’re nearing the most dangerous area surrounding the Meteor Bridge. There should be up to tens of thousands of sculptures gathered around there! It would be truly difficult to just kill a path through them," Chen Jiu transmitted to the others. "We don’t have the qualification to relax until we cross that area!"

"Mn."

Xue Ying could certainly see the end of the Floating Sky Island through his Mirage Avatar, which was still watching from above. Indeed, the end was marked by the head of the Meteor Bridge.

That region was filled to the brim; at least fifty thousand stone sculpture protectors situated no more than five kilometers apart from one another! These five hundred kilometers leading to the Meteor Bridge were clogged. It was truly hard to kill a way through them!

"Wu Ma Hai’s team has started rushing forward." Xue Ying watched as Wu Ma Hai’s team rapidly neared the entrance…

Hong!

It was the start of a lofty battle!

Wu Ma Hai’s team suddenly unleashed a dazzling golden light and the speed of each member sharply increased. Within two seconds, they had already crossed the remaining five hundred kilometers or so of the final region. They had been under the assault of countless frenzied Stone Sculpture Protectors along the way, but those two seconds was all it took to force a path onto the Meteor Bridge.

"Bo Bo of Wu Ma Hai’s team has died!" Chen Jiu’s voice sounded in the Mirage.

"Bo Bo’s dead?" Xue Ying was startled.

He didn’t suspect the accuracy of this report, however, since he was aware that the four teams had left avatars behind in the Xia Clan world. That way, they could rapidly transmit relevant information. They were afraid they might be forced apart inside the Crimson Rock Mountain, but this method provided them with a better way to keep in contact at all times. Xue Ying’s lack of Qi made it impossible for him to leave behind a Qi Avatar in the Xia Clan world.

When Bo Bo died, his Qi Avatar had naturally dispersed. That is how the other teams became immediately aware of his death.

"Xue Ying, your Mirage Avatar should have allowed you to stealthily observe the battle from a distance. How did Wu Ma Hai and his team get through the final part?" Chen Jiu asked in a transmission.

"They relied solely on speed to charge through," Xue Ying transmitted back.
