Chapter 414 - Their Invitation
Chapter 414: Their Invitation
She worked so hard that she doesn’t even do her homework!
Qin Jing rolled her eyes inwardly. She curiously gazed at Zhang Dong, leaning against the railing. “What’s the matter?”
He repeated the same matter he had just mentioned to Yao Tang earlier, about wanting her to join the association as well as asking for her permission to share contact information.
“It would be nice to join the National Sports Association, even just for a while.” She glanced at her. “As soon as you get bored, you can drop it. We won’t be suffering any losses here.”
Zhang Dong’s face brightened up.
However, as soon as he finished hearing what she had to say, he paled tremendously.
Did she really plan on just dropping out?
Zhang Dong knew that the National Sports Associationwas eager to recruit new talents. They wanted to send more people out to compete.
Although he didn’t know just how influential Yao Tang was, he could tell that the President of the Association was eager to recruit her.
If it weren’t for his patience and desire to respect the candidate’s decision, the President would’ve already dug out her contact information long ago.
Now, he’d have to wait for her approval before sending over a formal invite.
......
Qin Jing stood silently at the sidelines.
She was only giving her an idea. It was still up to her friend to make a decision.
Whether or not she’d join was her own business.
“Fine, I’ll pass the message over.” Zhang Dong finally sighed, knowing that there was no other way he’d convince her otherwise.
He took out his phone and sent her message back to the President. He also made it clear that Yao Tang wasn’t willing to give him her contact information.
The President of the National Sports Association had only found out about her return to City Afrom Zhang Dong. It was why he was anticipating a reply today.
He was taking a sip of his coffee when his phone dinged.
As soon as he got his message, he quickly typed out his reply.
On the other side of the city, Zhang Dong handed his phone over to Yao Tang. “The President asked me if he could use my phone to chat with you.”
She typed out a reply and handed the phone back.
At that moment, Lin Xin had already stepped out of the comfort room, and the three made their way back to the classroom.
Zhang Dong stared blankly at their retreating figures, unsure of what to say. However, just then, his phone dinged and he glanced down.
“Miss Yao, if you’d just give me another chance. I’ve already bought a plane ticket, and I’ll fly over in just a minute. Please, do you mind meeting with me?”
His jaw dropped.
He looked at the stairwell, but the three had already disappeared.
Just as he was about to rush toward her, the bell rang out and he begrudgingly headed back to class.
He could talk to Yao Tang once his classes were over.
During the break, a teacher called Yao Tang over, saying that Principal Kongwanted to see her in his office. Nodding at her classmates, she followed the teacher to the principal office.
“Uncle Kong?” she asked as soon as she stepped inside. “Why did you call on me?”
She sat comfortably on the sofa.
Principal Kong, on the other hand, was sweating profusely, unable to look at her in the eye.
She blinked.
“Little Tang, what have you been busying yourself with?”
He gazed at her expectantly.
She furrowed her eyebrows.
“What do you mean?”
His student had really caused quite a commotion these past few days. At this point, he didn’t know who was next to go look for her. She was really a popular student.
He motioned for her to stop.
“Just give me a second to sort out my thoughts.”
Yao Tang nodded and gazed at him indifferently.
“How did you...”
“Who’s coming here?” she asked directly.
