Chapter 79 Miss Tang, Be Careful 1
79 Miss Tang, Be Careful 1
The old woman had been Tang Moyu\'s nanny since childhood, which was also why she was with Li Meili and Jiang Yunan at the same time. She also knew what the empress prefered with her food and the style of clothes she was accustomed to.
For Tang Moyu, Auntie Lu was the only person at the Tang Estate who truly cared about her. Whenever Moyu was berated by her own mother and chastised for the mistakes she had made, she could only find solace and comfort in the old woman who treated her with the love and respect that she didn\'t receive from her mother.
Auntie Lu didn\'t have a family of her own, saying that her purpose in life was to watch over Tang Moyu\'s needs. She also instantly fell in love with the twins the first time she\'d seen them. However, due to her old age, it was hard to look after them like she used to look after Moyu when she was younger.
When Tang Moyu left the country with Li Meili, she was saddened that she wouldn\'t be able to bring her nanny with her because Auntie Lu couldn\'t do long travels and had to stay. However, as soon as she came back with her little buns, it was the old woman who welcomed them with open arms at the airport.
Tang Moyu watched as her daughter gave Auntie Lu, who had taken a seat on a wooden bench under the shade of the weeping cherry tree, a bouquet of flowers. Little Star had a wide smile on her face as she told Auntie Lu to stay where she was and promised her that she and her Yu Gege would play where she could see them.
"Your daughter is really sweet," Qian giggled next to Tang Moyu. She was wearing a pale yellow sundress and a pair of flats. Ever since Xu Wenyang found out about her pregnancy, he set rules for her to follow to avoid getting herself hurt, and that included not wearing high-heeled shoes.
"I hope if I have a daughter, she would be as cute as your Little Star."
"As long as your child doesn\'t end up as mischievous as my daughter is," Tang Moyu chuckled and crossed her arms.
The empress had finally managed to gain enough shares of the Tang Enterprise, giving her absolute control of the company without worrying too much about the other shareholders who ironically were not part of the Tang family. How amusing it was for Tang Moyu to know that strangers had more faith in her than her own family.
"Heh. Since they are willing to abandon me, let\'s see who\'ll have the last laugh later." She remembered telling Lu Tianxin, who had successfully gained the position of the Deputy CEO of Tang Enterprise, making her Tang Moyu\'s second-in-command.
"Since you are now the CEO, Moyu. Are you sure you would be able to take on the workload? Perhaps, it\'s time for you to find a suitable replacement for Mr. Han as the next CFO." Lu Tianxin told her.
"Don\'t worry, Tianxin. My good friend from the states is on her way here. She will be joining us soon."
"Is she good?" Lu Tianxin couldn\'t help but feel worried. Now that Moyu had control of the company, more people would want her to fail, and she didn\'t want to see her cousin being in pain again.
"Trust me, Tianxin. Gu Yuyao is extremely good. Perhaps better than me on numbers. She practically eats numbers as breakfast." Tang Moyu reassured her.
Better than her? Lu Tianxin couldn\'t quite believe that. In her mind, there was no other woman who was qualified to be compared with Moyu. However, since her cousin told her to believe in her, Lu Tianxin was willing to see what this Gu Yuyao could do to help the company.
Coming back to the present, Tang Moyu and Lin Qianrou enjoyed watching the scene. While Qin Jiran was busy conversing about god knows what, Tang Moyu started to realize that her world had become more interesting ever since she came back with her twins.
Not only did her twins seem happier after meeting Qin Jiran, but she was also able to make friends with Lin Qianrou and was able to reconnect her relationship with her younger brother and Lu Tianxin.
"How\'s it going with your husband? Still want to divorce him?" She asked Qian.
Lin Qianrou shook her head and beamed a bright smile, an expression that Tang Moyu felt was new. It seemed like Xu Wenyang was doing a great job of mending their relationship.
"I cannot say that I\'ve totally forgiven him, Sister Moyu. We\'re still trying our best to work this marriage out. In fact, Wen decided we should have a second honeymoon in the Maldives and try to patch things up. Try to reconnect to each other and gain what we\'ve lost over the past months we weren\'t together."
Tang Moyu was pleased to hear that.
"Good. Because if he decided to be a jerk, don\'t blame me for kicking his ass myself."
