Chapter 102 Is He Yours? 2

102 Is He Yours? 2

Song Fengyan stared at them with wide eyes and pinched his own thigh to make sure he wasn't seeing things and that his usually composed and serious aunt was now smiling at Xiao Bao. He flinched once he felt Feng Tianyi smack his hand over the table.

"Oww, that hurts!" Song Fengyan snatched his hand back and rubbed the spot his evil tyrant cousin had hit. "That hurts, so it only means I'm not hallucinating." He muttered to himself.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Feng Tianyi asked him. Instead of answering, he only pointed at the woman and the child sitting across them. Indeed, it was such a sight to behold. Even Feng Tianyi hadn't seen his mother being this affectionate to anyone, even to him, when he was younger.

His childhood memories were filled with harsh words from his father and the never-ending arguments between his parents. Even after their divorce, his parents were still at each other's throats.

"Are you sure you'll be able to finish it all? You ordered a lot of pastries." Feng Tianyi asked Xiao bao, who had a wide smile on his face, even the sun would be ashamed by his brightness.

"Ah, it's okay, Uncle Ji," Song Huifen raised a brow at that. Didn't this boy call her son as his Daddy Ji when they first met? Why was he calling Tianyi, Uncle Ji now?

Xiao Bao then turned to face her.

"Pretty Auntie, is it alright if I ask for a take out? I really want my sister to taste them too." He told the old woman.

Song Huifen nodded and smiled at him. She couldn't help but be reminded of what her son used to be before her relationship with his father crumbled because of a mistress. Tianyi was a happy boy until her husband divorced her and forced her to let her son live with his new family for three years.

The custody battle between them was dragged on for too long. In the end, her husband finally gave up and returned her son to her. It must have been really hard for Tianyi to live with them because the moment she finally won his custody, the boy who returned on her side wasn't the same who was always smiling, always curious about everything.

Now, seeing Xiao bao smiling like this, her heart ached remembering those old times with her young son. She wished that Xiao Bao would always be happy like this and would never know the harshness of life.

Perhaps, she could find out the truth herself because there's no doubt that this boy was a Feng. Paternity tests were pretty accurate and reliable these days. She would just need to figure out how to get both of the twins' samples.

"Sure. Take whatever you want, just as long as you promise to visit me again soon. Perhaps, you can invite your twin sister with you so I can also meet her?" She replied to the cute little bun on her side, a request that Xiao Bao easily agreed to.

While they waited for the dishes to be served, Song Fengyan checked the content of Xiao bao's backpack, making sure that the boy had brought everything he needed with him. He found a pair of spare clothes, a small coin purse with a few bills and coins, and a Rubik's cube in it.

"Why do you bring toys? Did you already anticipate that you'll get bored of waiting?" He asked the little boy.

"Because Mommy said Uncle Ji's meeting may take longer and I would have to wait." Xiao Bao shrugged and took the Rubik's cube his Uncle Yan placed on top of the table and looked at it with curiosity.

"Do you know how to solve it?" Song Huifen asked curiously. When Tianyi was younger, he had a hard time solving the cube and only managed to master it at the age of seven.

"Mommy is teaching me different methods to solve it. She's really good at this." Xiao Bao said proudly. "She said this would help me and Little Star improve our memory, and learning the ways to solve it would teach us patience."

Song Huifen nodded her approval. It seemed like Tang Moyu was teaching her children well. Patience was one of the virtues a person must learn in his life.

"That's right, Xiao Bao. It's an activity where you don't have to invest anything other than your time and attention. Have you ever solved one before?" The last time she saw a child holding a Rubik's cube as young as Xiao Bao was her own son, Tianyi. She didn't think any parents especially Tang Moyu would teach her children virtues using this method.

"Only thrice, Pretty Auntie. Mommy is making sure I don't cheat or forget where I went wrong." Xiao Bao responded.

"How did you do that? It took me almost a month before I could solve one." Song Fengyan exclaimed with an awe which was followed by Feng Tianyi's snort.

"Removing the color sticker doesn't count, Fengyan." He said as he sipped his warm tea.
