Chapter 288 - Daddy Is No Match to Mommy (2)
The four of them had decided to have dinner inside the twins' room, much to the little buns' delight. This was the first time their Daddy Ji had been here with them at the main house and would be spending the night with them.
Tang Moyu had tidied the table she'd set up earlier, taking her laptop and the doc.u.ments back to her study before turning the table into a dining table. For tonight's dinner, Auntie Lu and the others prepared something light for Little Star to eat.
There wasn't any fried or greasy dish. Something that the two little buns overlooked as they were too excited with the fact that their Daddy Ji was with them.
"Isn't your brother also staying here? Where is he?" Feng Tianyi asked once he remembered that Tang Beixuan was also staying at the main house. But he hadn't seen him since he arrived.
"He isn't at home at the moment. He left in a hurry before you came." Tang Moyu replied as she picked up a steamed dumpling in front of her and took a bite after dipping it in spicy sauce. She really loved Auntie Lu's home cooked meals, especially the dumplings the old woman specifically made for her.
"Oh, I just thought he would be joining us for dinner."
Tang Moyu wasn't sure if her brother left to meet Li Meili, but considering that he'd left in a hurry, it was either he met her best friend or he was summoned back home, with the latter a higher possibility because the empress was sure that Zhang Wuying wouldn't remain mum when it came to Tang Beixuan.
"He'll be back." She nonchalantly replied and wiped her son's cheeks clean. "As long as he stays here, he's bound to follow some of my rules."
Feng Tianyi laughed at that. Even though Tang Beixuan was already old enough to look after himself, he tends to listen to his elder sister. He silently watched Tang Moyu interact with her twins and noticed the darkening circles below her eyes.
Hadn't she slept at all these past few days? Was she worried that Little Star would have another episode in the middle of the night? Didn't the doctor who came yesterday said the girl was recovering well?
This only made Feng Tianyi more worried, not only about the twins but also about Tang Moyu. How long would she be able to keep everything to herself, not asking for support from anyone?
After dinner, Auntie Lu had led him to one of the spare rooms, which was just across the little buns' room.
"Moyu asked me to prepare this room for you, Mr. Qin. If you need something, you can use the intercom next to the bed and we will bring it to you. Everything that you may need is already here." The old woman said while Feng Tianyi looked around the room.
On the ceiling, a huge ceiling fan was installed. It was working and Feng Tianyi was impressed that it barely made any sound, ensuring that anyone who uses it would be able to sleep through the night without worrying about it.
"Thank you, Auntie Lu, but where's Moyu by the way?" He asked.
Tang Moyu had disappeared once they finished their dinner, while the twins' nursemaids came to help the twins prepare for bed.
"Ah, she probably went to her own room to wash up." The old woman replied as she placed a tray with a pitcher of water and an empty glass on the bedside table. She'd gotten used on seeing Feng Tianyi leaving one next to his bed, so she knew he would need one here.
"Mr. Qin, would you please try to convince Moyu to take some rest tonight? Actually, she hasn't slept since Miss Feiyu returned home. She only had short naps in between and still worked late at night once the twins were already asleep." Auntie Lu said with a solemn voice.
'I f.u.c.k.i.n.g knew it,' The devil muttered to himself. It had been three days since Little Star came home and that also meant Tang Moyu hadn't gotten a good night sleep since then.
What the hell was she thinking? Did she also want to get sick after Little Star? At this rate, he wouldn't be surprised if Tang Moyu fell sick too. She'd been working hard, rarely taking any break.
If Feng Tianyi didn't know, he would probably think that she was married to her work, seeing how dedicated she was.
"I'll see what I can do, Auntie Lu." He responded, still not sure how he would be able to convince the empress. If she wouldn't listen to Auntie Lu, who practically raised her like a daughter, there was no assurance that Tang Moyu would listen to what he would say.
Auntie Lu gave him a knowing smile before excusing herself, leaving Feng Tianyi to his own devices. He probably didn't know yet, but her Miss Moyu held his opinion in high regard and since they were a couple now, Tang Moyu would try her best to be reasonable with him.
