Chapter 95: Just be Happy
Chapter 95
As a god-like existence in the entertainment industry, Yu Luobai\'s fans spanned various age groups. Since he debuted as a child star, he had mom fans, girlfriend fans, and all kinds of fans.
As a top-tier celebrity in the domestic entertainment industry, he currently has the most Weibo followers among actors, with a staggering 160 million fans, far surpassing other celebrities.
Ji Nian arrived early at the film set this morning, and the young Shen Shuyao was overjoyed, beaming with happiness all morning and whispering in her ear.
"Little Nian, you\'re amazing! These are VIP seats, the closest to your idol," Shen Shuyao exclaimed, having found a place to keep her ticket and autograph safe after obtaining them last time, afraid of creasing them.
A single ticket made the female lead that excited for so long. If she interacted with Yu Luobai every day, wouldn\'t she be so thrilled that she\'d faint?
Ji Nian looked helpless and said, "President Ye is Yu Luobai\'s cousin, so they\'re relatives."
Shen Shuyao looked stunned, her eyes filled with disbelief. "This... Azhen never mentioned it..."
"Maybe you didn\'t ask," Ji Nian said with a smile.
"Ahhhhhhh!" Shen Shuyao exclaimed excitedly, then quickly covered her mouth when she noticed people looking over, and whispered as she leaned closer, "Little Nian, I\'m so happy!"
"You might even become relatives in the future," Ji Nian teased with a mischievous look. "I\'ll have to call you sister-in-law, hahaha."
Shen Shuyao\'s face turned red, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Alright, enough. I need to read the script."
Ji Nian knew the female lead was shy, so she smiled, "Remember to ask for leave tonight to go to the concert. I need to go for rehearsals first."
"Go ahead," Shen Shuyao waved her hand.
Since Ji Nian didn\'t have many scenes today, she left early after informing the director, hurrying to the company.
Upon arrival at the company, she saw Yu Luobai\'s team rushing to pack clothes, props, and other items.
Ji Nian noticed Yu Luobai standing not far away, looking serious as he spoke to several people.
"Mr. Yu," Ji Nian called out softly.
Yu Luobai noticed her and a hint of warmth flashed in his eyes. "Today we\'re going to the venue for a run-through. We\'ll take the same car later."
Ji Nian looked puzzled. "We\'re going to the stadium now?"
Yu Luobai smiled as he looked at her dazed expression and reached out to ruffle her hair. "Yes."
"Do I need to prepare anything?" Ji Nian looked confused, as no one had mentioned anything about makeup or outfits, and she hadn\'t thought about it either.
"Just come along. Your outfits and makeup have already been prepared," Yu Luobai smiled. "I personally picked out the clothes. I think they\'ll suit you very well."
So that was it. Ji Nian suddenly felt too clueless, unaware of everything, and felt a bit embarrassed. "Thank you, Mr. Yu."
"Let\'s go," Peng He urged, sweating profusely from the rush.
"Okay," Yu Luobai nodded.
An assistant handed over a black cap and mask, and the man put them on. Though his handsome face was covered, his demeanor exuded a sense of mystery, coolness, and nobility.
After getting himself ready, Yu Luobai naturally picked up a pink duck-billed cap and helped the woman put it on.
Ji Nian felt a shiver as he gently arranged her hair. She didn\'t know why, but there was a subtle feeling within her.
After helping her with the cap, Yu Luobai also helped her put on the mask. Once done, he patted her head with satisfaction and smiled, "There, no one can tell it\'s you now."
Ji Nian looked into the man\'s smiling eyes, blinking her innocent big eyes. A peculiar feeling arose in her heart. Was Mr. Yu being a bit too good to her?
The staff nearby looked surprised, while Peng He turned away helplessly, unable to bear watching such blatant behavior.
Since they were going to the same place, Yu Luobai asked her to ride in the same car. Ji Nian instructed Xiao Tang to return to the set first, in case they needed a car.
In the car, Peng He handed them two sandwiches. "Time is tight today, so have these diet sandwiches first to line your stomachs."
Ji Nian took one and opened it curiously. "Wow, these are lettuce-wrapped sandwiches?"
Peng He looked proud. "How does it look? Not bad, right? Since bread has too many calories, we replaced it with lettuce. There are also tomatoes, cucumber slices, steak, fried eggs, and pork floss inside, providing balanced nutrition without making you gain weight."
"Impressive!" Ji Nian gave him a thumbs up.
Yu Luobai lowered his mask, the corners of his mouth curved into a smile. "After we\'re done today, I\'ll take you out for something good to eat tomorrow."
Ji Nian was hungry, so she took big bites of the sandwich without hesitation and asked curiously, "What good food?"
"What would you like to eat? I\'ll treat you," Yu Luobai asked, amused.
"Then I\'ll make you pay for the most expensive," Ji Nian teased mischievously.
Yu Luobai shook his head helplessly. "The most expensive doesn\'t necessarily mean the best."
"Is Mr. Yu being stingy now?" Ji Nian joked.
Yu Luobai tapped her head. "Don\'t worry about the food. I\'ll make the arrangements."
Ji Nian was patted on the head again affectionately and froze for a moment. Then she looked at the man, who seemed completely natural about it.
She blinked her eyes. Although she had some thoughts initially, she suddenly felt that she must have been overthinking it.
When they arrived at the stadium, they saw crowds of people around, with fans holding support banners and a bunch of reporters standing at the entrance.
Peng He, seeing the situation, quickly instructed the driver to take a detour to the underground parking lot.
"So many people?" Ji Nian looked bewildered.
"Some fans come to show their support early, and some who couldn\'t get tickets will wait outside the concert venue to listen," Yu Luobai patiently explained.
"And then they\'re hoping to run into you, right? Just in case?" Ji Nian pondered for a moment and asked.
Yu Luobai nodded with a smile. "Yes."
"Wow, I envy you, Mr. Yu. You have so many fans," Ji Nian exclaimed in admiration. No wonder he was the king of celebrities - even before the concert started, fans were already waiting in droves outside.
"Little Nian, you\'ll have many fans in the future too," Peng He said from the back with a smile.
"I don\'t really care about that," Ji Nian smiled cheerfully. "Whether I\'m famous or not doesn\'t matter to me. As long as I have work and money to spend, a stable life - that\'s my life goal."
A glint of amusement flashed in Yu Luobai\'s eyes. After spending so much time with her, he had already noticed her easygoing nature. She did things at her own pace and didn\'t care much for fame or fortune, always appearing carefree and happy.
"So you\'re quite easily satisfied," Peng He said with a smile.
"As long as I\'m happy, that\'s all that matters, right, Mr. Yu?" Ji Nian smiled, glancing at the man.
Yu Luobai\'s lips curved into a smile as he nodded in agreement. "Just focus on being happy."
