Chapter 337 Under Protection

Kyran looked at Matias sprawled lifelessly on the ground with a cold expression.

Though there was blood coming out from Matias\'s nose and from the spot where Kyran\'s staff hit his head, Kyran was not satisfied.

At most, Matias suffered a mild concussion but nothing life-threatening. To Kyran, it was not enough to pay off what he did to Emmet.

"If my wooden staff is not enough, then let\'s use a different one," Kyran muttered. He might have said this in a low voice, but because most of the people nearby, whether they were members of the order or onlookers who were furtively observing from a distance since they were paying close attention to his every move, they were able to catch his words.

They immediately knew Kyran was not done venting.

To the members of the orders nearby, they were unsure if this was a good or bad thing. After all, Matias was still from the Lumley Family. If he really suffered too much, how could the Blacksmith Order defend once the Lumley Patriarch, Matias\'s grandfather, retaliate?

Matias might have been the first one to attack the Blacksmith Order, but in front of one of the Three Noble Families, whoever initiated the first move did not matter. As long as one of their own was hurt, they would retaliate and no one would be able to interfere. Not even the Royal Family.

That was the influence one of the Three Noble Families could do.

The Blacksmith Order might be part of the Conclave, but the latter normally would never meddle with whatever happened to the constituents under them. One of the reasons for their stance was their neutral status. If they were forced to meddle, the Conclave would never resort to violence. Releasing a ban statement when the Lumley Family tried to tarnish Disciple Tyr\'s reputation was a good example.

At the moment, it was still unclear why the Conclave meddled with the Blacksmith Order\'s predicament. But in order to ensure they would not meddle unnecessarily when Matias arrived with his people, the latter specifically mentioned that their target was Disciple Tyr and the members of the order present on that day only.

If the Conclave still meddled, depending on how they would respond to Matias\'s action, it might lead to an all-out war with the Lumley Family, and the former\'s neutrality would be questioned. A lot of things would then happen.

The Conclave might have a good business relationship with every faction in the empire, but the Lumley had both business and military relationships in most bigger factions, especially with the Royal Army.

In the end, the Conclave would be getting the shorter end of the stick.

Looking at this scenario, the members of the order were afraid that Disciple Tyr would bring a bigger calamity to the Blacksmith Order if he hurt Matias further.

They all understood this, and yet, none of them wanted to step forward and stop Kyran.

All of them watched Kyran\'s movement with expressions of complete trust.

Kyran waved his hand and two huge stones appeared hovering in the air. One was golden in color, which the array specialists and the blacksmiths watching immediately recognized as the hardest form of gold, Aurum! The other stone was an alloy.

The array specialists and the blacksmiths knew at once what Kyran wanted to do. However, the array specialists were sceptical because forging a harder weapon would take days.

Every blacksmith, however, looked on in anticipation. After all, they had witnessed Kyran make a transmission array in an instant. Witnessing the latter forge something in an instant was something they would love to see.

Kyran closed his fists and in an instant, the two stones were crushed into bits and pieces. A light golden array appeared horizontally in the middle of the two crushed stones and a force appeared to suck the crushed stones into it.

The surrounding air crackled as the crushed stones started to combine. Kyran whirled his wooden staff as he looked at the array and pierced the other end toward the array.

Once the end of the staff hit the array, sizzling sounds filled the air as the combined two crushed stones merged into the staff.

All the array specialists nearby gaped in shock as a hammer\'s head had started to take form at the end of Kyran\'s staff!

Even the onlookers and the rest of the members of the order could not help but gasp in both awe and surprise.

This was not something an ordinary Array Specialist could do!

No. Not even a talented Array Specialist could forge a weapon the same way as Kyran was doing! It was simply impossible!

As a huge head of a hammer formed at the tip of Kyran\'s wooden staff, he tightened the grip on the shaft as its weight shifted. His muscles bulged from the weight and he bent his knees to support the sudden addition of weight.

A cold sneer appeared on his handsome face as his aquamarine eyes glinted maliciously, "This weight should be enough."

His voice was not that loud when he had spoken, but almost everyone still heard him.

Especially those white-robed mages who were still conscious nearby.

All of them seemed to have forgotten the pain they were feeling from their injuries as they all glowered at Kyran. They all tried to rouse their magic as they shouted different things at the same time.

"Y-YOU! DON\'T YOU DARE!"

"What are you trying to do to our Young Master!"

"Stop it! Or else the Lumley Family will never forgive you!"

"Senior! Please help!"

Kyran\'s eyes narrowed as he heard one of the white-robed mages call for help.

The truth, his action just now was partly a show.

If not for the fact he felt unsettled because the few Grand Masters and a couple of Exalted observing nearby had not made a move even after he thrashed all the white-robed mages and even rendered Matias unconscious, Kyran would not have done such a cringy show.

A cringy show, to force whoever was with Matias, to show themselves!

Kyran believed that some of the high-level mages were with Matias. The Lumley Family would not let the first grandson come to the order and make a ruckus without high-level mages keeping watch nearby. Even if they were absolutely sure that Chairman Noir and President Sigma were not in the order today, they still had a few Master level Array Specialists.

It should be noted that most of the white-robed mages with Matias were only at High Adept, with the latter being the highest one which was a Grand Adept.

While Disciple Tyr was still known as a Master mage, because of his innate strengthening magic, the Lumley Family believed he would not hold a candle against Matias even though he was one level lower, especially with his powerful innate fire magic.

Still, if there were any accidents or miscalculations, the Lumley would still have a few high-level mages to ensure Matias was safe.

However, contrary to Kyran\'s expectations, none of them actually made a move even after rendering Matias unconscious.

Did they really think Kyran would not really hurt Matias?

If that was the case then he would force them out by showing them just how brutal he could be.

"Here\'s for senior Emmet!" Kyran shouted as he swung his newly formed golden hammer toward Matias\'s head.

VHOOOM!

An immense pressure bore down on them which also appeared to be a huge vacuum that sucked all of the sounds in the surroundings.

"STAY YOUR HAND!"

"Argh!"

A booming voice sounded which rendered all people, except for the white-robed mages and Matias, within a hundred-meter radius of the Blacksmith Order fell on their knees while covering their ears.

As for the members of the order, as the pressure bore down, the Blacksmith Order\'s array immediately activated. Silver and golden translucent half-sphere barrier formed around the building, countering the pressure and ensuring everyone inside were unharmed.

But.

"Ugh!" Kyran fell on his knee, as the weight of the hammer in his hand tripled.

"Disciple Tyr!" All the members of the order could not help but shout in fright.

However, Kyran persisted as he defiantly looked up at the spot where the voice had spoken.

In that spot, the space appeared to distort and a middle-aged man wearing a dark blue velvet coat. On his right hand was a long golden staff, with a huge red spirit stone shaped like a claw holding an orb. His long golden-brown hair was tied on his back, and his dark green eyes looked at Kyran in a condescending manner similar to Matias.

The space behind the man distorted as two more people appeared.

They also wore white robes and held long silver staffs. Though both had the same appearance as the white-robed mages with Matias, the magic energy they emitted was far more powerful than theirs.

Kyran sneered inwardly. As he had expected, the two Grand Masters and one of the Exalted were with Matias. However, he maintained a pained expression as he looked at the man in the middle.

The middle-aged man looked at Kyran with a cold expression as he said, "Did you really think you can brazenly do whatever you want to young master Matias, on my watch?"

"Humph," Kyran harumphed as he smiled at him. "Am I not doing that already?"
