Chapter 884 Acquisition (24)
Chapter 884 Acquisition (24)
Helplessly, the Legendary-level Knights looked at Kesiah standing at the center of the lost technology. It was only then that they noticed she was not holding any item that resembled a lost technology.
"How? How can such a huge formation be activated without a physical lost technology?" One of the knights blurted his thoughts, which prompted the others to reel in both amazement and fear.
Did Princess Kesiah learn how to create the lost technology? Was the formation glowing on the ground something she replicated?
If this was true, then they now understood why she and Prince Achim were bold enough to stage a rebellion.
Kesiah ignored them and focused only on controlling the array formation. Sapping the Knights and their Divine Armaments\' energies was only a part of their Master\'s Array.
Because the array formation would require an enormous amount of magic energy to maintain, Kyran included a formula targeting the Legendary-level Knights and their Divine Armaments to provide the formation the energy it required. This formula was different from the absorption formula, which targeted everyone inside the array.
Because Kesiah was not the original creator of the array formation, she was also exposed to the normal absorption formula\'s effect. Kyran knew this, which was why he tweaked the formula to only target those Legendary-level Knights and their Divine Armaments.
The moment the array formation accumulated enough magic energy, it activated the second phase, which was to seal the Divine Armaments of the Legendary-level Knights. In this way, they could not use it to hurt Kesiah, who was the one steering the formation\'s wheel.
Following the sealing of their Divine Armaments, one knight after another felt a strange energy slipping inside their bodies. This energy not only seemed to suppress their strength but also stopped them from making any movements.
The knights tried to resist the energy\'s influence by circulating what was left of their internal magic energy. However, the momentum of that strange energy was far too powerful for their meager magic energy could resist. Not to mention, the moment their magic energy touched it, changes started to appear in their magic energy\'s nature.
None of them knew, but Kesiah was aware that the strange energy currently enveloping them was the Void.
To put it simply, the array formation Kyran prepared to deal with the Legendary-level Knights would allow Kesiah to force them into submission.
That was right. Kyran might be interested in the Armakea Knights but he never really thought of turning all of them into his Servants or Sigils. He preferred it if Achim, Kesiah, Haji, and the rest he absorbed at the start could turn the rest of the knights into their subordinates.
Kyran no longer had problems absorbing the Armakea Knights. After his body\'s enhancement, his usage of Void magic also improved. Of course, he knew there were limitations in his absorbing and turning complete beings and humans into Servants. But thus far, he was far from it. Needless to say, being far from his limitations did not mean he should absorb and turn every Armakea Knight. Kyran still wanted to pick those whom he would want to be his Servants. Besides, he felt that turning an Armakea Knight into his Sigil was better.
As for Achim, Kesiah, and the first few Knights that Kyran turned into Servants, he did not regret it. The change in their Divine Armaments\' nature presented them with a new path. It did not regress their improvement.
Like Kesiah for instance. Her body and Divine Armament were already strong. However, because she only used brute strength to overwhelm her enemies, she could be suppressed easily by someone who had more strength than hers.
That had been the case when she fought Kyran.
But now, the offensive form of Kesiah\'s Divine Armament had more lethality since they adapted the Void\'s nature of nothingness. With every cut she made, the enemy would no longer be able to regenerate the part she had cut.
That was the reason behind the roots summoned by one of the Knights to fail in regenerating and keeping Kesiah and Gaham in place.
Five or so minutes later, the Knights could no longer resist the energy seeping into their bodies. One after another, they fell on their knees, their expressions turning grim.
Seeing their condition, Kesiah slowly made her way to the knight closest to her. She flicked her hand and a mark, a half-inch six-sided star appeared and hovered on her palm. She then waved her hand and the mark went straight at the knight\'s forehead.
The mark embedded itself on the knight\'s forehead before slowly sinking into his flesh. Unable to exert any energy to resist, the knight\'s eyes blurred before he fell face-first on the ground.
"It is not too late to turn yourself to the King, Princess Kesiah!" The leading knight blurted as soon as he saw what happened to the knight. He was clearly shaken by what he witnessed.
Princess Kesiah\'s level was lower than theirs. Even with their Divine Armaments being sealed, it was impossible for her to kill them in one shot. Not to mention, with only a flick of her hand.
The leading Knight\'s reaction seemed exaggerated, but it was reasonable because they did not know Kesiah never intended to kill them. She only wanted to force them into submission.
As for the first knight she marked, his life energy appeared to have disappeared but he was only in a suspended animation while his will was being suppressed by Kesiah\'s mark. Give it a few minutes then the knight would wake up eventually. Once he woke up, he would become subservient to Kesiah.
Ignoring the leading Knight\'s plea, Kesiah moved to the next knight. She flicked her wrist as another mark flew out of her palm and straight to the knight\'s forehead.
The knight tried to move his head away from the mark\'s path. However, he was too weak to even raise his head and failed miserably. Kesiah\'s mark struck the knight\'s forehead, and soon after he also fell unconscious.
The other knights did their best to fight the influence of the strange energy. However, no matter what they did, it was futile. The energy was truly too strange. They could not even determine its element because if they could, they believed one of them might have the element magic that could counter it.
None of them knew that the Void\'s energy could be considered a product of all elements yet not possessing any element, meaning it did not have any weak element. The only thing it would have trouble dealing with was Soul energy.
At first, there was a slight commotion among the knights from what Kesiah was doing. But soon after, the strange energy had already infected their energies and they could no longer resist the array formation\'s overwhelming pressure.
One after another, they fell to their knees and could only wait for their turn when Kesiah also received her mark of death.
Gaham\'s expression turned grim as he watched Kesiah from the sidelines. He had known her for a long time, yet this would be the first time he witnessed her acting like this. She normally relied on her powerful combat abilities and Divine Armament to subdue her enemies. But this time, she did nothing of the sort. She only walked over to the knights and simply placed a mark on their foreheads.
Gaham clenched his fists before taking a deep breath. From the time Kesiah fell into Kyran\'s control back then, Gaham had sensed a change in her magic. He could not place it in words, but he was sure Kyran did something to her.
Nevertheless, Gaham did not care about the changes. As long as her character was intact, then it was more than enough for him. He swore to her allegiance because of her character not because of what she could do.
After another ten or so minutes, Gael finally reached the clearing where Kesiah was busily marking the remaining knights.
\'Everyone at the camp is now under our control,\' he told them telepathically. \'We can now assist Azikh and Gidan back at the border.\'
Gaham was surprised after hearing this. He did not expect that Gael\'s task was to convince the rest of the Royal Family\'s forces to join them. How did he do it?
\'I\'ll be done in a few minutes. Sorry, I can only mark them one at a time because my level is still lacking,\' Kesiah replied.
\'That will not be a problem,\' Gael replied. \'I received an update from one of my minions at the border. He said the King\'s forces were still occupied with the defensive array.
\'Knowing master\'s Array knowledge, it would take them several hours before they could put a dent on its surface.\'
Gaham could not help but frown after hearing that. If that was true, then what was the point of them going there? Would it not be enough to let them stay there?
