Chapter 248 - 248: New City & Overlord Manual (2)
Surprisingly, it was being purchased in substantial quantities by numerous individuals. Naturally, the primary reason was the affordability of Green
Bricks. Furthermore, everyone visiting the Green Lotus Market were owners of Blessed Lands.
Other than some building treasures, the owners of Blessed Lands would build some cities in their respective Blessed Lands. This was also the reason why Green Bricks were popular.
“Green Lotus Market can be considered to be on the right track. If we develop steadily from now on, we will be able to bring a large number of resources to the Green Lotus Territory.”
“Hu Hua, you’ll be in charge of Green Lotus Market for now. As for the territory, pick someone to represent you for the time being.”
“Yes, my lord!”
Hu Hua didn’t refuse and replied with a straight face.
After instructing Hu Hua a few more times, Mei Changge left Green Lotus Market and returned to the Green Cloud Palace.
“It’s time to invest in the cities in the Blessed Land.”
Mei Changge sat on the throne with a thoughtful expression.
This matter was suggested by Guo Jia, and the cities within the Blessed Land were originally planned this way. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been left unnamed.
“Let’s open the three cities first!”
Mei Changge looked through the territory interface and saw that the territory had expanded. A thought flashed through his mind.
When these three cities were constructed, each was designed for a population of a million. While these cities weren’t treasures, Mei Changge only needed a thought to relocate the constructed cities outside of the Blessed Land.
At that thought, Mei Changge’s consciousness shifted. Through the territory interface, he disappeared from the Green Cloud Palace in the next second.
When he appeared again, he showed up at the original location of the Dark Wall.
However, Mei Changge glanced at the interface and disappeared again.
“Yes, this place is decent.”
Mei Changge appeared near a lake with a satisfied expression.
This was a place that had only appeared after the expansion. Furthermore, there was a clear lake in the distance.
With mountains and water, it was indeed regarded as a favorable location.
“Let’s take this city!”
Mei Changge looked through the Green Lotus mark between his eyebrows and chose a city.
In the next second, the entire sky darkened as if a huge dark cloud had covered it.
The city emerged so suddenly that some of the common residents within it didn’t even realize it. They merely sensed a slight tremor throughout the city.
“Descend the new city!”
A lotus flower phantom flashed across Mei Changge’s eyes. Then, he pointed ahead.
Boom!
Boom!
The city landed near the lake. The transformation in the city finally attracted the attention of the people.
“From today onwards, this city will be called Wavelight City!” Mei Changge’s voice reached the ears of every citizen in the city.
“Wait? That voice… could it be the lord?!”
“Wavelight City! This city finally has a name!”
When the citizens in the city heard Mei Changge’s voice, they were a little puzzled at first. However, under the intimidation of the Green-robed soldiers, no one caused trouble.
“Green-robed soldiers, assemble! Some of you will stay to protect the city, while others will accompany me to explore the surroundings!”
A man dressed in green attire with a three-leafed Green Lotus emblem on his collar called upon the Green-robed soldiers and initiated an examination of the area outside the city.
As for Mei Changge, he did not care about these matters. Instead, his figure flashed and he appeared in the distance again.
He established the other two cities at the same time and named them Mountainview City and Riverway City.
Other than the cities in the Blessed Land, the Green Lotus Territory officially had six cities with a population of one million, each.
Green Lotus City, Obsidian City, Forest City, Wavelight City, Mountainview City, and Riverway City.
“Feng Xiao should have issued the order a while ago. Within the three cities, the leaders of the Green Cloud Pavilion and the Green-Robed Tower cooperated. No problems occurred.”
Mei Changge examined the collaboration between the Green Cloud Pavilion leader and the Green-Robed Tower leader using the territory interface and displayed a contented expression.
One department handled communication and calming the city’s populace, while the other managed martial matters, quelling those with nefarious intentions, including martial artists.
Among them, the existence of the Green-Robed Tower’s Desert Purgatory had already spread among the commoners.
Every citizen who had entered the Desert Purgatory, even martial artists, did not cause trouble on the streets.
After all, they had all undergone the trials of the desert, and consequently, no
one dared to enter.
Nevertheless, the Green-robed soldiers were officially esteemed among the commoners. Given that their responsibility involved apprehending individuals, it was entirely appropriate for the criminal law department to adopt a strict
stance.
“Since the three new cities were brought into the territory, the next step is to guard the Dark Wall.”
Mei Changge stood on a peak outside Mountainview City, his eyes solemn.
Currently, while the Dark Wall continued to expand, its pace had already been curtailed by Mei Changge. This was due to the occasional encounters with lesser factions of the Mandrill race during their expansion. Consequently, the direction of the Dark Wall’s expansion was headed toward the Mandrill race.
“I can’t allow the Mandrill race to discover that I’ve advanced into their territory while they’re engaged in conflict.”
Mei Changge stood atop the peak, his robe billowing and rustling in the strong wind..
