Chapter 651 - The Picture On The Wall Part 3
Tina smiled and nodded. "Then, even though this painting only has a trace of my divine will. At least a part of me will be able to leave this place. I do not know what world I was from, but as long as I can leave here, I can at least officially say I did not die in vain."
"Divine will is like part of your soul?" Kana asked.? She had no idea what a divine will was.
"Mmm… It can be considered part of my soul." Tina replied.
"Then there may be hope. I do not know how long it will take, but one day, when I leave this place and I reach a higher level of existence, I will be able to use this strain of your soul and bring you back to life. Then you can truly live the life you wished for." Kana did not know if she would be able to. But she felt with her being the goddess of life and death she should be able to do it if she was powerful enough.
"If that day truly does come, then I will have to trouble you." Tina had a look of longing in her eyes as she said this. She truly wished to live a life without any bloodshed. "But first, you must survive. I will teach you everything I know, from the starting footsteps to all my techniques. Watch carefully."
Kana gave Tina her full concentration. Everything movement was graceful yet powerful. Kana could tell that Tina put a lot of work into her skills. Hours, days, months passed, and this entire time Kana did not move. She had been training with Tina in three techniques that she was able to do at her cultivation. One was a movement technique that would allow her to move much faster.? The technique made use of the wind and spiritual qi in the surroundings to step on air and propel yourself forward. At first, when Kana began training in it, she kept falling face first onto the ground. But her determination never faltered, and she kept trying. Only on the thousands try did she finally understand the concept and begin being able to use it.
"Finally!" Kana yelled out as she hopped through the air. While everything that was happening was happening within her mind, Tina said it was no different than training in the real world.
"Not bad. You learned this faster than me." Tina said with a smile. "These skills are all skills I created myself when I was at the same cultivation as you. This foot work lasted until I reached the foundation establishment realm. Only then did I acquire a proper movement technique which I will teach you later on. The movement technique I put together when I saw a man hopping between rooftops when I first came to this world. As for the sword techniques, they are just my own versions of the sword techniques I saw others using. They are not the best, but they at least have some power to them.
"I did not have resources when I first came to this world, so I had to learn things the hard way and put in hundreds of times more effort than others. Only by training these skills was I finally able to join a small sect. From there, everything else is history."? Tina explained. She had to undergo many trials and tribulations, but sadly her luck ran out.
"I will make good use of them." Kana said with a smile. One of the sword techniques was called phantom sword, a quick drawing technique that made it seem like your blade never left its sheath. Then there was the moon crest. It combined perfectly with the movement technique, heavenly steps as it required you to be in the air. By using the movement technique to get yourself into the air and spinning your body to gain momentum, it would allow your strike to be ten times stronger. It was a perfect combination to finish off your enemies.
Kana finally opened her eyes, the wall in front of her now bare. The picture now resided in her mind\'s soul sea. This way, she could talk to Tina and train any time she wanted to. While training inside the picture would only allow her to train in techniques, it was still better than trying to learn them all on her own. She had Tina as a guide teaching her step by step.
Kana felt like she gained a lot here. She had more knowledge of this world now and a better understanding. Power meant everything here, so she would need to steel her heart and walk a path that might be drenched in blood. "I guess it is time to leave."
As Kana stood up, she felt a buzz at her side. It was the token she had gotten from Lord Yong. "I guess it\'s almost time to leave. Li Dong!"
"You\'re don…. The picture!?" Li Dong cried out seeing the picture missing. He looked at Kana with an aggrieved expression as if she was bullying him.
"I gained the approval of the inheritance, and the picture flew into my head…" Kana explained, scratching her head. It was not like she was doing this on purpose. She made a promise to Tina so of course she had to take the picture. Kana decided it was best to change the subject. "Anyway, bring me to Ako.. I need to leave soon."
