Chapter 912
Chapter 912: Sword God Inheritance Part 4
"What are you doing!? Why did you destroy the ceiling!?" The sword god yelled out. He was only a remnant of his soul and could only do so much, but now this little girl was destroying the palace that he had been painstakingly taking care of all these years. Making sure the formations were all well maintained! And now…. Now! The little girl just made more work for him!
"Huh? Why are you yelling at me!? You said we needed to get to the top of your palace, so I made a hole to the top. I am just following your directions!" Bi Ling yelled out.
"Have you ever heard of stairs!? Why was the first thing that came to your mind to destroy the ceiling!?" The sword god wanted to cry! His poor palace!
"Stairs? You should have said that to begin with! You only said make your way to the top of your palace, not take the stairs to the top of the palace! Mei, am I wrong here?" Bi Ling did not think she did anything wrong, she was just following directions.
"No, you are not. You were only doing as he said and made a path to the top of the palace. So you can not be held responsible for his inability to give proper directions." Mei Ling replied. She would not allow her sister to look bad, so she put things as logically as possible!
"See! Even Mei says you are wrong! Humph! Yelling at me when it is your own fault for not being able to give proper directions. Anyway, I will now take the route I made since it would be a waste if I did not." Bi Ling stuck out her tongue and went to fly up through the hole she made but suddenly crashed into something hard. "Ouch!? It repaired itself!?"
"I just fixed it! Use the stairs!" The sword god yelled out, his body fainter than before.
"Why did you fix it!? It was a perfectly good hole!" Bi Ling was mad. She went to reach for her sword once more but was quickly stopped.
"Take the damn stairs! Stop being so unreasonable!" The sword god felt like he was about to use the last bit of his soul fragment just arguing with this girl.
"Bi, just take the stairs. He looks like he is going to cry." Mei Ling began to feel bad for the sword god. He was flickering in and out of existence.
"Humph! You are lucky Mei is so nice. I will now take the stairs." Bi Ling went to step on the first step only to feel a heavy pressure suddenly slam down on top of her. She frowned and waved her hand. "Shoo! Annoying!"
As if listening to her command, the pressure disappeared without a trace allowing Bi Ling to walk up the stairs without issue. The sword god looked on in shock, trying to understand what had just happened. He could have sworn that the array he set up was to create a pressure that even gods would be able to feel. While he saw the formation activate and begin taking effect, it suddenly stopped affecting the little girl at her simple command! Curious as to what was going on, the Sword God walked over to the first step and went to step on to it only to feel a terrifying force suddenly slammed down onto him! "What is this!?" He had no choice but to jump back. If he was even a fraction a second slower, he would have been snuffed out!
He gazed up at the girl who was skipping up the stairs as if it was nothing and wondered what just happened. "Your little trials won\'t do much to her."
"Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" The sword god screamed like a little girl as he held his chest and stared at the lizard girl who appeared out of nowhere. "Are you trying to scare me to death!?"
"Hmmm? You are already dead. I can\'t scare someone to death if they are already dead." Kana replied while pursing her lips. She had watched the old man successfully consume her pill and begin cultivating. She put a barrier around him that only he could leave, but no one could enter. It would protect him from anyone with stupid ideas.
"Right… I am dead….but who are you? How did you enter the palace without opening the door?" The sword god asked.
"Hmm? Isn\'t it easy to enter this place? You just tear a hole in space and step through it." Kana tilted her head to the side, not sure why this sword god man was asking strange questions. "Anyway… I just came to ask, is there anything in this trial of yours that will harm my daughter?"
"No. It is all based on one ability with the sword. From the hole, she created in the palace before she could easily pass each trial within a matter of seconds. To be honest, the first trial was supposed to be the hardest, but she skipped through it like it was nothing. So I do not think she will have anything to worry about. If she goes as is, she will reach the top in an hour at max." The sword god replied.
"Okay, as long as nothing bad will happen to her. I will be watching from afar anyway." Kana took one more glance up at her daughter, who was about to disappear around the corner, and smiled before disappearing from the room.
"What is she!? She left without even leaving a trace of a tear in space!" The sword god was starting to feel that today was going to be a very crazy day. He just hoped he could pass on his inheritance and finally get to rest without any more strange unforeseen events.
