Chapter 977 Death Race

"As Your Highness commands." The skeleton in full armor replied as it knelt down in front of the skeleton on the bone throne. It then stood back up and walked out of the hall.

After the room was clearly a great pressure filled the area. "Only those above the god level are able to destroy my portals. It seems I am close to achieving my goals if the guardians are already waking up."

Back on Rain and Angelica\'s side, they were now hovering over a large battle field between humans and skeletons. "Hmmm, so these are the skeletons. I can see their souls, which means they are an actual race. But I am not sure if they have much in the way of intelligence. Rain, can you seal a few off so that Mama can question them later on?"

"Easy enough." Rain nodded and waved her hand over a few thousand skeletons suddenly stopped in their tracks and were sucked into a black crystal that suddenly appeared in front of them.

The black crystal flew back over to Rain, who grabbed it out of thin air and handed it to Angelica. "Here you go. You should take it back while I deal with this mess."

"Alright." Angelica took the black crystal that was now filled with skeletons and stepped through a tear in space.

Rain, on the other hand, looked at the king and said: "Tell your men to retreat or be caught up in my spell."

"Huh? Oh, right!" The king was already in a daze after everything that was happening. So Rain\'s words startled him, but he quickly did as he was told and ordered his people to retreat. Seconds later, a black dome appeared over the battlefield, sealing the skeletons in. it began to get smaller and smaller until not only did the skeletons disappear, but so did the portal itself.

"That solves this issue. Remember to contact us if anything goes wrong." Rain said before turning around and disappearing. The king did not even get a chance to tell Rain to thank you. But the one thing he did know was that he was glad he never angered Kana and sent his men over the border.

On Kana\'s side of things, she had already finished her work and was now looking at her three youngest crying in her arms. "Mama, don\'t send us away!"

Creige and Kana looked at their youngest kids and sighed. "It will only be for a short while. You will get to visit your sister Bell and your nephews and niece. Right now, things are not right here in this world, so we need you to behave for your sister."

"But…." Mana did not want to leave. She wanted to stay with her Mama! Keith and Nana were no different!

"No buts. It will be fine. So behave." With that, she hugged her three youngest. Creige did the same, and before they could complain more, they were already sent to the ship where Bell was waiting.

"You are here. Come, I will show you around." Bella said as she took her siblings\' hands. She could see they were not in good moods, but she also knew her Mama would not send them to the ship if something was not wrong.

"Creige, do you think I am overreacting?" Kana asked. She had done all of this without much evidence, but she felt this was the proper way of doing things. She wanted to try to control the problem and protect her people more than anything else.

"No. You are right in what you are doing. Three portals with thousands of skeletons pouring out of them are not something we should be taking lightly." Creige replied. At that same time, Angelica appeared in front of them. "Mama here."

Kana took the black crystal from Angelica and looked at it. With a wave of her hand, she sucked one skeleton out of it. "This!? Where am I!?" The skeleton yelled out as it looked around, waving around a sword.

"Hmmm…. What race do you belong time?" Kana asked.

The skeleton suddenly felt a heavy pressure on him that caused its bones to creak and quickly turned to face Kana. It was surprising to see that on such a tiny planet that there was someone so powerful. But when it thought how this was some lower realm, it sneered and said: "The Death race! If you want to live, give up now, or we will slaughter all of you puny…."

There was no trace of the skeleton after that. Kana tapped her chin as she tried to think of who this death race was. "Is this not a normal race or something that popped up from another realm?"

"I never heard of it either. But from the looks of it, it is just an undead race. It probably has a skeleton king." Creige figured that the king must be very powerful to control so many skeletons.

"Either way, we need to make sure nothing happens to our family and the people of this empire. Speaking of which, where is Devan?" Kana had not seen him all morning.

"Devan said something about taking on a few requests away from home to see the land he was in," Angelica replied. "But I do not think there are many who can match him in this world. Even those skeletons, no matter how many they throw at him, would not be his match."

"True…." Kana pursed her lips and waved her hand. She saw Devan traveling through the air flying towards his destination. She decided not to bother him and let him do this thing. She would just keep a close eye on him in case she was needed.
