Chapter 357:

Chapter 357

[Concerto for Two Violins] First Day of Practice.

Subin’s living room.

Seo-jun, who had his chin on the violin, smiled as he looked at Subin, who was shining his eyes.

“Shall we start practicing then?”

“Yes!”

Seo-jun played the first part of the sheet music.

It was a short part, so it wasn’t hard for Subin to follow.

Nodding his head, Seo-jun listened to Subin’s performance and played the next part when Subin’s performance ended.

And when Seo-jun’s performance ended, Subin started playing.

Like that, as if they were playing a repeat sign, Seo-jun played and Subin followed.

Even though it was the same performance, Seo-jun’s melody was skillful and strong, while Subin’s melody was delicate and cute.

Seo-jun played fast, strong, and stronger, while Subin played slow, weak, and weaker.

They created different feelings by playing with different dynamics.

“Hyung! This is fun!”

Subin smiled and followed Seo-jun’s bow down the violin.

“Really? Then do you want to try this too?”

“Yes!”

Before they knew it, Seo-jun and Subin were playing happily without caring about the practice.

Seo-jun played a new song and Subin remembered it and followed.

Seo-jun played a familiar song and Subin continued the latter part of the song.

Kim Hee-sang, who was filming them, opened his mouth wide.

Subin remembered and played the same melody as Seo-jun’s performance, and even memorized and played the latter part of a familiar song.

It was amazing to see.

Seo-jun moved his long bow to play more complex and difficult songs.

It wasn’t a part of an existing song, but a melody that Seo-jun came up with right now.

Of course, it was too short to be released to the public.

It seemed to be difficult this time, as Subin’s bow hesitated.

He remembered the previous melody, but his hands didn’t follow.

Seeing Subin like that, Seo-jun played the same melody again.

Subin, who was eager to face the difficult performance, followed Seo-jun again.

After repeating it several times, Subin finally achieved a satisfactory performance.

Kim Hee-sang smiled as he saw Subin happy.

“Is it not hard?”

“It’s okay! It’s fun!”

Subin smiled brightly.

He liked succeeding in a difficult performance more than an easy one.

Seo-jun took a break and decided to practice [Concerto for Two Violins] again before moving on to something else.

“Let’s play until the end this time. Subin.”

“It was fun to play around… Okay!”

Seo-jun and Subin looked at the sheet music and started playing.

“Good. Here you have to play longer.”

Along with Seo-jun’s words, Seo-jun’s violin sent out a long note.

Subin also followed his bow movement.

Slowly but strongly.

It was still a difficult technique for Subin.

His lips pouted at the unsatisfactory sound. But he didn’t give up.

“Hyung! One more time!”

“Okay.”

Seo-jun smiled at Subin’s enthusiastic look and said.

Seo-jun played and Subin followed.

The goal of [Concerto for Two Violins] was not only to play perfectly, but also to correct Subin’s bad habits and solve the parts he struggled with while repeating this song.

Kim Hee-sang chuckled as he watched Subin play again and again without giving up even if he made mistakes.

‘He doesn’t need to go abroad.’

Because there was a very great teacher who made practice songs just for Subin right next to him.

After practicing the first part and getting used to it enough, Seo-jun and Subin moved on to the next chapter.

Unlike the previous part where they repeated like a repeat sign, now Seo-jun and Subin played different melodies.

“From here on we have to play differently. Let’s try hard. Subin.”

“Yes!”

Seo-jun and Subin smiled at each other and moved their bows at the same time.

A YouTube channel notification popped up.

He had set it to silent mode so that he wouldn’t be disturbed by practice, so violinist Jason Moore noticed it after practice was over.

He turned on his phone after finishing his violin practice and sitting on the sofa to rest.

He had received a message from Professor Benjamin Morton, who was giving a special lecture at an elementary school near his accommodation, asking if he had eaten lunch well.

Jason Moore put a piece of bread on the table in his mouth and sent a reply.

<I ate well.

He didn’t lie.

‘Although the amount was small.’

Jason Moore, who sent the reply without blinking, looked at another notification.

A video had been newly uploaded from one of the few channels he subscribed to.

[Channel ‘JUN’ uploaded!]

[Concerto for Two Violins]

“Concerto for Two Violins?”

Jun uploaded a violin performance on YouTube, which was interesting, but Concerto for Two Violins made Jason Moore’s eyes sparkle.

“Is it Bach’s piece?”

There was a piece called ‘Concerto for Two Violins’ among Bach’s pieces.

Jason Moore rubbed his chin and looked at the video.

It seemed to have been uploaded while he was practicing, as there were already many comments.

“It doesn’t seem to be that long…”

He looked at the playback time and connected the speaker and phone.

He spent a lot of money on sound equipment because he listened to a lot of music.

“Let’s listen to it first.”

As Jason Moore pressed the play button, the video started.

The title and the names of the performers appeared on the black screen.

<Concerto for Two Violins>

<First violin performer: Jun [JUN]>

<Second violin performer: Bin [BIN]>

“Bin.”

It was an unfamiliar name, but it was a name that made him look forward to it.

Bin. Bin.

He said it a few times with his mouth, then closed his mouth at the changing screen.

The names of the two performers disappeared and a picture appeared.

The blue sky and the back of a large and sturdy bird that seemed to look at the sky and a small bird that still looked fluffy with down feathers.

He thought Seo-jun and Bin’s performance scene would appear, but it seemed to mean that they wanted him to enjoy the music completely by replacing it with an image.

He smiled slightly and focused his ears on the melody that came out of the speaker.

The first part was Seo-jun’s performance.

An unfamiliar melody flowed out of the speaker. It wasn’t Bach’s familiar piece.

‘It’s Jun’s original piece.’

Jason Moore smiled satisfactorily and leaned back on the sofa and closed his eyes.

He heard a familiar atmosphere in the unfamiliar melody.

It was a slow and simple performance that children would do, but Jason Moore could tell Seo-jun’s skills from that performance.

‘You’re still good.’

Jason Moore was a bit worried about how good the performer named Bin, who played with Seo-jun, would be, since Seo-jun was so good.

‘…Seo-jun wouldn’t have brought just anyone.’

He liked violin as much as acting.

Then, a new violin sound reached Jason Moore’s ears.

“Hmm.”

He reflexively exclaimed in admiration.

Jason Moore, who was leaning back on the sofa, lifted his back from the backrest and tilted his upper body toward the speaker.

The second violin followed the slow and simple melody that the first violin had played. It felt different from Seo-jun, but it showed skill.

Jason Moore’s eyes sparkled.

Bin’s performance ended and Seo-jun’s performance started again.

It was a bit more difficult than the previous performance.

When Seo-jun’s performance ended, Bin’s performance followed, and when Bin’s performance ended, Seo-jun’s performance followed.

The performances that followed became more difficult.

Suddenly, Jason Moore’s gaze turned to the video.

Two birds looking at the sky were seen.

Ah.

He felt like he knew.

Jason Moore chuckled.

A big bird (first violin) was teaching a little bird (second violin) how to fly.

From very easy things like spreading both wings to difficult things like jumping and flying in the sky.

The experienced big bird showed the little bird, who had just been born and was walking around with a chirp, how to move step by step.

And the little bird followed the big bird’s movements.

The repeated melody continued until finally.

The little bird made its first jump.

A strong and thick melody showed an example first and a small melody followed.

It sounded like they were playing hard with two fluffy wings.

The first jump seemed to fail and the sound of the second violin faded away.

The big bird cheered on the little bird.

With that encouragement, the little bird flapped its wings again.

Strongly, strongly, strongly!

Finally.

The little bird flew in the sky.

A long and relaxed note followed in the blue sky above where a big bird and a little bird flew around.

The big bird and the little bird seemed to share their joy and exchanged melodies with each other.

The thick melody of the big bird (first violin) and the cute melody of the little bird (second violin) harmonized like birds’ chirping.

Jason Moore smiled unconsciously at that harmony.

“I see why they showed a picture of birds.”

[Concerto for Two Violins] naturally evoked an image of the music and that image became more concrete and memorable to people thanks to the picture that appeared on the video.

<Teacher. Listen to this.

<Seo-jun composed it.

Jason Moore, who sent a message to Professor Benjamin after watching it, played the video again from the beginning. He felt his fingers itching for some reason.

=Me too lol

-Who is Bin, the second violinist? He plays really well, doesn’t he?

=I’m curious too. He could have become famous if he revealed his name here. Why did he use a pseudonym?

=Maybe he’s Seo-jun’s friend?

=333 Seo-jun’s friend is also a prodigy wow

-Is this composed by Seo-jun?

=It says composer in more info.

=As expected of our Seo-jun!!

-At first I thought it was a violin practice video because it was simple, but it got amazing as it went on.

=Yeah, it got harder by stages, but I liked how the two performances blended together at the end.

-The picture made me think of the music image perfectly. A little bird following a big bird.

[Actor Seo-jun, second composition! ‘Concerto for Two Violins’]

[One day a concert! Actor Seo-jun receives love calls from music industry!]

[Cocoa Entertainment, releases sheet music for concerto!]

[Who is Bin, the second violinist?]

***

Jason: The concerto was good. Send me the sheet music.

Jason: But who is the second violinist?

Jason: He matched well with the cute vibe.

Jason: Do I know him?

Seo-jun smiled and sent a reply to Jason Moore, who sent him messages in a row shortly after he posted it.

<Bin is a younger sibling I know.

<He’s only nine years old, so I composed it to suit his vibe.

<He’s good, right?

Jason Moore’s messages, which had been pouring in, stopped for a moment.

Jason: …9? Nine years old?

Seo-jun laughed at the message that seemed to be flustered.
