Chapter 388: 388: Connect the Video for Him
Baron Lawrence had already started counting.
Juliet Jordan panicked a bit, but quickly calmed down, “Young Master Lawrence, are you trying to scare me like I’m a fool?”
“2.” He showed no expression, his thin lips spitting out another number.
Juliet Jordan furrowed his brows, unsure of what to do.
His reason told him that as long as Baron Lawrence wasn’t crazy, he wouldn’t do such a thing. However, his intuition reminded him that Baron Lawrence, willing to fly a helicopter to his company to save his illegitimate daughter, was already a kind of madness. He’d better not gamble!
As he fell silent, the number 3 came down.
The force that was gripping his collar suddenly loosened, and he breathed a sigh of relief, glad that he hadn’t spoken just now. Suddenly, a fierce fist smashed into his face.
“Ah.” He staggered and fell to the ground.
Before he could come to his senses, two bodyguards in black lifted him up and pressed him onto the office desk like a fish out of water.
Baron Lawrence approached him, his entire body exuding a killing aura, “You should be glad that you still know her whereabouts. Otherwise, I would have blown your head off with a gun instead of just punching you!”
Juliet Jordan looked at his menacing face, frightened at his terrible words.
Just then, he was horrified to find that someone had grabbed his hand and pressed it onto the desk.
“What are you doing? What do you want to do?”
No sooner had he spoken than a cold flash of a dagger fell onto the table. His little finger felt a sharp pain, and Juliet Jordan let out a hoarse scream, “Ah
Baron Lawrence watched, expressionless, as he writhed in pain, his cheeks twitching like a devil that had walked out of hell. Handsome to the extreme, and cruel to the extreme.
“I’ll ask you one more time. Where is she?”
Juliet Jordan turned pale, his left pinky finger hurting so much that he wished he were dead. But he couldn’t even flinch, pinned down to the desk.
He was one of Linton City’s underworld figures, with connections in both the black and the white worlds. His fingers had been chopped off by others but that only provoked him more. He lifted his sweaty head, his eyes bloodshot, and said hoarsely, “Young Master Lawrence can find her himself. I absolutely won’t tell you.”
Damn!
Enna Clark must be in his hands!
Baron Lawrence grabbed his collar, almost choking him to death! In extreme anger, he suppressed the urge to kill this scoundrel immediately and threw Juliet Jordan back to the bodyguards.
He clenched his fist, cold and arrogant, “Not going to tell me, huh?”
“What video?” Juliet Jordan wasn’t afraid of his anger; it was his silence that scared him.
Silence meant that there were bigger cards in the opponent’s hand.
Sure enough, a bodyguard in black brought an iPad to within half a meter of him and connected a video. He hadn’t even seen the person in the video yet when he heard the sound of North Jordan on the other side, “What are you doing? Why did you catch me? Let me go…”
Soon, the video was focused on the face of the speaker, and if it wasn’t his son North Jordan, who could it be?
North Jordan also saw his father in the video, and he yelled in shock, “Dad?”
Then, he saw the bloodstains and Juliet Jordan’s pale face. He began to struggle, “Dad, what happened? Who are these people? Are you alright?”
Just as he finished speaking, a black gun pressed against his temple. North Jordan saw the gun out of the corner of his eye, his face turned pale and his lips trembled. His eyes were full of panic, and he stared at the screen. As if seeing his last straw, he looked into Juliet Jordan’s eyes and yelled, “Dad….”
