Chapter 98: [Risaliyah!]
\'Hmmm?\' I looked at the message with a peculiar gaze. Though I didn\'t think much of it. After all, if there are beings who can curse a tower master then they must be pretty powerful. It makes sense for the system to not be able to remove it at my current authority level.
"I don\'t know. It says that my gift is a bit too low, and. I need to increase it if I want to make changes to the curse or remove it," I answered as I looked at Seat 4, who had a thoughtful expression on her face.
"Is that so? Well, at least it\'s better than not getting anything," seat 1 was in a deep thought before he added,
"You have a growth type gift right? How does it grow or increase in grade? I mean it would be helpful for all of us if you can reach a higher grade as fast as possible."
\'Hmmm. How does my Gift grow, huh? While it would be helpful if I can just directly tell them \'by killing monsters\' or \'by making corrections to the system\' but then it would make things harder for me in the long run,\' I was lost in deep thought as I looked at him.
While I can ask them to get me the last kill on monsters for a fast GM point source, I don\'t think I would need it after having Annabeth as my contractee anymore.
As for making corrections, I can co-relate it with the corruption energy but then he will bring 40 more people to save here. Not a bad thing, but honestly, it will attract too much attention.
\'So something with which I can benefit without catching any attention? It also needs to be something that only I can do so that others won\'t be able to hinder me,\' I thought before giving an answer that would help me the best in the long run.
"It\'s not something you can help with, really. Or to be accurate, its quest type and totally random," I began speaking all the nonsense I could as I recalled my time in the tutorial.
"The first quest was in the tutorial to remove all the traps. The second quest was to conquer a dungeon. Third, to fight and survive against the boss monster of the tutorial. I got rewards as points based on the quest which I could use to either make changes into the system or increase my authority."
I paused as I saw them all paying full attention to my words.
\'I shouldn\'t stretch it too much and keep it under the line,\' I thought before continuing,
"And finally I got two quests in this tutorial. One was to survive in the wilderness when everyone else was inside the city gates and the other was a sudden emergency quest with the rift."
Finishing it, I looked at them as they observed me with a thoughtful expression before Seat 1 asked,
"Do you have any active quests right now?"
I shook my head before speaking," none as of now. Though based on the pattern of the quest, I should either get one in this tutorial or one in the next one."
"Makes sense," Seat 1 spoke as he sighed while I pondered if I should help them out with the situation or not.
Kindness is good but doing it free will make them take me for granted. And if I keep it easy for them to reach [???] then either they will abuse that or get too much suspicion.
"Also, I tried talking with my contractor but he said that it\'s not easy to do it all at once. Especially with that rift thing. His powers aren\'t omnipotent and he would need at least a month before he can remove curse of any form. Plus, he won\'t be doing it for free," I said as I left problems of the future to the future.
One thing I learned about money is that if you get too much at once, it\'s almost never free. Chances are the price you would need to pay ends up being more than you can afford.
\'Still it\'s not like I won\'t make anything from here,\' I thought as I saw him standing up again.
"I guess that\'s more than enough. Thank you Crowley," he said as he then took out a strange stone before passing it to me," I actually came down in a hurry. Though I am glad that I came, I now need to go back. If you find yourself in any emergency then just break that stone and I will personally come to help you out."
He then turned around before speaking,"11. Since you can fight, can I ask you to come up as fast as possible? We will need as much firepower as possible. And 4. Stay here instead, help Crowley out with anything he needs."
He was decisive as he left while Annabeth winked at me before leaving from there with Seat 1. Seat 2 waved at me as well with a kind smile, while I looked at Seat 4 with a deep gaze.
Nora was still there as she had calmed down quite a lot. She was simply observing all of us while eating that last piece of pie. Seemingly, she had a lot to say and ask but she patiently waited for the conversation to end.
At first I wondered why they left without speaking anything to Nora, but then I recalled that they will forget about her anyway so there was no point in doing so.
Or did they already forget about her? Probably. I don\'t
know.
"I will be taking my leave as well. I have found my answer that I was looking for and I have decided that now, I will help those Gods," the Admin, Balthazar spoke as he politely bowed before leaving from there as well.
Observing seat 4 and Nora, I then pondered for a few seconds before standing up and then moving towards the furnace again. Taking out a bunch of strawberries and cornstarch, I then began making more strawberry pies.
Though a bit confused at first, Seat 4 smiled as she saw my intentions and then sat on the seat that I was sitting and began talking with Nora.
I pondered about the curse that Seat 4 had a bit.
[Curse of the Enchantress
Grade: Ex
Description: In order to prevent Lirawern from getting his memories back and to prevent any chance of the target to reach Lirawern, this curse has been placed on Risaliyah, the wife of Lirawern.
Effect:
-Each time the Target even tries to get back to Lirawern, a portion of her existence will be erased!
-Banish the Existence of the Target to the Tower of Forbidden Path!
-Prevents the Target to die! Forbidding her to enter the cycle of reincarnation or regression!]
\'She really got her husband stolen, huh? Just who did she tick off so badly?\' I pondered as I looked at the curse for a while.
Risaliyah, huh? Should I pity her? It\'s not really a kind fate that she has. Hmmm… Even though her fate is different from Nora, it\'s still similar in many ways.
I looked at her happily talking with Nora while I sighed wondering if I should involve myself in this mess or not. The Enchantress sounds rather powerful.
\'Plus… the Tower of Forbidden Path? Is that the tower\'s name?\' I was surprised to see that as well. I guess I am closer to the truth now? Well… never really cared so much about it.
Taking out the fresh pies, I then took them to the girls as I spoke,"here is your food ladies. Eat \'em up before it gets cold."
[Professional Cooking!] was a nice skill to have to be honest. I wonder if I can improve it to something better as well? Hmmm… I should think about it later.
"Thank you for the meal!" Nora\'s mood got uplifted again as I smiled at her while Rosaliyah was looking at me with a deep gaze. A smile was present on her face as she kept observing me.
"What?" I asked.
"How much did you see?" She spoke curiously.
"A little bit of this and that," I answered vaguely as I picked up a pie before beginning to eat it. Until I decide that I really am going to help her, I would like to have a clear distance between us. And obviously I would need to understand what exactly am I getting into before moving in for help.
The person who placed the curse on her is actually someone from outside the tower, someone who seemed powerful enough to banish her to this place.
"Is that so?" She spoke before beginning to eat her portion of the food as well. Meanwhile I looked at the [Map] to find out what the others were doing as well.
I think since I have a partial control of what I may say tk the Gods of this world, I can also partially control this tutorial and the next.
\'Hmmmm… I think… I know how to maximize the profits from the tutorial this time,\' I smiled as I looked at the quests of these Tutorials. And then at Risaliyah and Nora who were enjoying the food.
"Nora. Risaliyah. I need you guys to do something for me," I spoke as I began explaining to them my plans for the tutorials.
