Chapter 394: Taking out the Anger
Chapter 394: Taking out the Anger
Mrs. Gu let out a sigh of relief. She did not continue saying anything more.
She was worried that Ruxue drank the tea by accident when Gu Chaoyan was absent, thus ending up in such a situation, but that filthy maid was already dead. She just could not ask her anything.
However, she had to push the blame upon Gu Chaoyan. She was going to make Gu Chaoyan suffer thousands of times more than Ruxue experienced today.
Mrs. Gu had a very fierce look on her face, then she closed her eyes. When she opened her eyes again, she looked calmer than before.
“Ruxue, stop thinking about anything else. Just get a proper sleep and I will get everything else sorted out for you. I will talk with Lord Ling so he will come and see you.” Mrs. Gu gave Gu Ruxue a very assuring look.
Gu Ruxue calmed down slightly as well. She nodded, then she got up and went to take a rest. She had been feeling very dizzy and the excitement had exhausted her.
After she settled Gu Ruxue down, Mrs. Gu walked out of the Yard.
Gu Zhenkang was waiting for her. Seeing Mrs. Gu, he said with a sunken expression “What is going on with you? Chaoyan is marrying Lord Huai. Even if you don’t like her, she is someone who can bring benefits for the mansion! Stop being stupid, you are going to lose big!”
Mrs. Gu was fretting, so she got very pissed at the sight of Gu Zhenkang as well. “Why are you blaming it on me? It is Ruxue who was framed. So you are blaming me instead of thinking of some way to find out who framed her!”
“That is not what I mean!” Gu Zhenkang felt a bit unsure at the sight of Mrs. Gu’s fierce look. Everything he thought of was just speculation. He did not want to make a wrong guess either.
Mrs. Gu rolled her eyes at him, then she left directly.
Annoyed, Gu Zhenkang still walked after her and asked. “Where are you going?”
“I am going to the Lord! Or are you?” Mrs. Gu asked, feeling displeased. She had thought that Gu Zhenkang favored her and Ruxue, but now she realized that he would rather have interests.
Gu Zhenkang pursed his lips, saying nothing more.
The Lord might be a gentleman, yet he could be intimidating too. What if the Lord blamed everything on him? How irritating!
Normally, Madame Gu would deal with everything properly, and he did not have to worry about a thing, but now, the mansion had become totally messy, with such a huge mistake coming in the way. Gu Zhenkang was feeling very troubled.
Involuntarily, he started to walk towards the distant yard where Madame Gu stayed.
Before he realized where he was, he was already in the yard.
He sighed. He still needed Madame Gu to manage the whole mansion, otherwise everything simply became messy.
“Cai Ming, please push Madame Gu out of the room. I need to speak with her.” Gu Zhenkang pointed at Cai Ming who was about to pour water.
Cai Ming had to walk in. When she walked out again, she was still alone. “Old Master, Madame Gu doesn’t want to come out of the room.”
Gu Zhenkang’s face sank.
