Chapter 245: Ch.244 Breaking the Facade
Chapter 245: Ch.244 Breaking the Facade
Mister Sinister\'s telepathic abilities were on par with those of the White Queen, and he possessed over 50 tons of telekinetic power, speeds exceeding Mach 2, and a healing factor comparable to Wolverine\'s.
He was also a master of ancient martial arts, and the red diamond on his forehead could fire energy beams similar to Superman\'s heat vision.
He was a tough opponent. But now, it seemed inevitable that they would clash, especially since Namor\'s whereabouts were undoubtedly tied to him.
But what was the strategy here?
Mister Sinister had almost no weaknesses. Su Ming was outmatched in every area except combat skills and strength.
Even if there were a plan, it wouldn\'t help to involve the doctor and the sorcerer, since their thoughts could be easily read, rendering any strategy useless.
The only option was to stall for time, waiting for Wade to return.
"Mister Sinister, I never expected to meet you in a place like this."
A peculiar smile formed on Mister Sinister\'s pale face as he crossed his arms behind his back, floating out of the burning ruins and landing directly in front of Su Ming.
"There are many things in this world that no one can foresee."
His words carried hidden meaning, and he stared straight into the single eye of Su Ming\'s mask.
Su Ming stepped forward, locking eyes with him, doing his best to draw Mister Sinister\'s full attention and prevent him from probing the minds of the doctor and the sorcerer for information.
Whether it was out of disdain or because his focus was indeed fully on Su Ming, Mister Sinister seemed to show no interest in the other two. Instead, he asked about something else entirely.
"That court jester who wandered into my lab earlier—did you bring him along?"
"Oh? I didn\'t notice. Could you describe him for me in detail?" Su Ming shook his head, pretending to help him identify the "jester" while fishing for more information.
Mister Sinister\'s pale face twitched slightly as he took a deep breath. "It was a..."
Just as he was speaking, a sudden gust of wind came from behind. Powered by telekinesis, Mister Sinister instantly slid more than ten meters away, just as Deadpool\'s twin blades struck the ground, scattering debris.
"Damn,"
Deadpool rolled and returned to Su Ming\'s side, making a disappointed sound.
Su Ming frowned slightly. He had seen Wade sneaking back in through the hole in the wall, which is why he tried to distract Mister Sinister, giving Deadpool a chance to land a sneak attack.
Super-powered individuals weren\'t too scary, but ones who also knew martial arts were a much bigger headache.
"Cowardly," Mister Sinister\'s expression turned cold as he floated in the air, addressing them icily: "Sneak attacks are not the behavior of a gentleman."
Deadpool immediately retorted, pointing his blade at Mister Sinister: "You pale-faced British freak! Deadpool, the American cowboy, at your service! Did you steal my cow dung when I was out riding? What? You ate the cow dung? I knew you had that fetish! You got all fired up after eating it and smashed Uncle Deadpool\'s bones to pieces! Can\'t you save that strength for your wife?"
Mister Sinister clenched his teeth in fury. This vile man had brought up his deceased wife—Deadpool had to die.
Now that the situation had completely escalated, Su Ming began setting up his next move. Under his control, his symbiote slipped out from the gaps in his armor, forming the shape of a hand. It signaled to the sorcerer hiding behind the meat grinder.
Whatever magic Monarch was about to use, Su Ming silently communicated: pick the most destructive one and throw it at the enemy.
Monarch thought for a moment, then shifted his staff and began casting a spell. Obscure incantations flowed through his mind as he sensed a terrifying entity communicating with his soul.
As usual with dealing with eldritch beings, the transaction was simple—power now, payment later. Without any difficulty, he finished casting the powerful spell.
"In the name of Exxelon\'s freezing tentacles, slow down!"
His earlier fireball had been ineffective, as were the bullets from the others, all blocked by Mister Sinister\'s invisible force field.
So this time, Monarch chose to summon an ancient curse from an eldritch god, casting an invisible, colorless slowing hex.
After all, the opponent\'s speed was overwhelming. Slowing him down would create an opportunity for their side\'s warriors.
If the sorcerer had opened his third eye to observe the magical realm, he would have seen a massive net of writhing tentacles floating above him, ready to strike.
He quietly hid behind the machinery in the shadows, the heavy scent of blood filling his mind like rusting metal.
Now, all he needed was Su Ming\'s signal.
Meanwhile, Mister Sinister wasted no time in launching his attack. He despised the red-and-black fool in front of him. From the red diamond on his forehead, he fired a massive energy beam straight at Deadpool.
In an instant, the entire room was bathed in red light. The destructive energy left a huge crater in the ground, large enough to fit both Su Ming and Deadpool inside.
Su Ming had anticipated the attack and dodged in time, while Deadpool\'s butt caught a small spark of the blast, leaving just a hint of singed skin.
"Whoo! Hot, hot, damn! My butt\'s got a well-done streak now. Can you smell the bacon? Man, I wish Wallace were still alive to see this. He\'d fall in love with me if he got a taste of my prime roasted rump."
As Deadpool rolled to avoid further hits, he couldn\'t stop asking Su Ming if he could smell the bacon.
There was no hint of bacon in the air—what Su Ming smelled was Deadpool\'s stench, enhanced by the heat. It smelled like burning cheap plastic flip-flops.
Also, feeding your pet your own flesh was definitely a pet-owner taboo.
"You left, I\'ll go right." Su Ming had both swords in hand, and the Cloak of Levitation instantly propelled him toward Mister Sinister with a whoosh. This was no time for idle chit-chat—this wasn\'t some barbecue joint.
"Fine, fine. I guess you\'ll never understand a chef\'s pursuit of perfection—the flavor, the style, the way it all explodes in your mouth. You like espresso? How about some seafood risotto?"
Deadpool, seemingly from nowhere, pulled out a white chef\'s hat, placing it on his head. He also stuck an upward-curling fake mustache onto his mask, adopting a classic Italian chef\'s look.
Speaking with an exaggerated Italian accent, he launched into his usual rant while charging at Mister Sinister, guns blazing in one hand, swords in the other.
After firing three shots, he put his hand to his mouth, gesturing in that chef-like fashion where fingers pinch together and bloom outward, mimicking the sensation of flavors bursting in one\'s mouth.
And then...his gun misfired, creating another hole in his cheek.
"Ugh, just a little too spicy, but hey, for someone who eats Mexican tacos all the time, this is nothing. I once ate a bottle of super Hellfire Ghost Pepper sauce. Bled out of my rear for a week straight. Blood kept leaking out, so I went to the hospital, hoping they\'d plug it up with some cotton swabs. But the doctor said I had stomach cancer, so I punched him. I mean, I\'m Deadpool, the whole thing\'s cancer. And he wanted to charge me for diagnosing just one part of it? What a scam, right?"
As if unfazed by anything, Deadpool used his tongue to push a broken tooth out of the bullet hole in his cheek, rambling on while charging. However, his speed, compared to the Cloak of Levitation, was far slower, so after a few steps, he gave up on running and just walked instead.
If he couldn\'t keep up, no point in trying.
