Immortal of the Ages

Chapter 246: Demon Continent's Top Demon Emperor!

Chapter 246: Demon Continent\'s Top Demon Emperor!

Among them, two familiar figures stood out at the forefront. One was the Ape Saint, clad in a white robe and gold-rimmed glasses, and the other, the Burning Saint, engulfed in flames.

Indeed, after the battle at the Ancestral Temple, Yun Xiao had slain many top-tier Demon Saints but had let these two escape, allowing them to flee back to the Demon Continent.

"The barrier has degraded to its original state; we need millions of corpses to restore it to its pre-calamity level," the Ape Saint murmured, his gaze heavy with worry.

"Our only hope lies with Moon Fairy!" the Burning Saint declared, his eyes blazing as he stared into the deep demonic cave.

"Aren\'t you a resentment demon? Why speak for the beast demons?" Ape Saint asked, puzzled.

With a heavy sigh, the Burning Saint replied, "I understand Forbidden Fate better than you. Moon Fairy is right. The stronger Forbidden Fate becomes, the more selfish he becomes. Relying on him as our hope it will eventually lead to him betraying us and... devouring everything."

This harsh truth dimmed the Ape Saint\'s gaze even further.

"Regardless, our peak forces may have suffered greatly, but our demon army is still stronger than the combined forces of the entire Divine Continent\'s human race. As long as Moon Fairy is with us, we still have a chance to have the last laugh! This battle is far from over!" the Burning Saint growled.

"It\'s not that it\'s far from over, it\'s that it hasn\'t truly begun," the Ape Saint said somberly.

Setting aside the rabble at the Ancestral Temple, the demon army had only annihilated the Violet Sky Immortal Army and hadn\'t even breached the gates of the Heavenly Realm.

"Those humans, Yun Xiao and Divine Dawn, dancing with devils, will meet a bad end. Perhaps we won\'t even need to lift a finger; they\'ll find their own demise," the Burning Saint said.

"They\'ve already suffered backlash. Yun Xiao\'s mysterious master is dead, and he himself might be gone too," the Ape Saint mused coldly. "It\'s undeniable, devils are powerful... I wonder, if we fully submit, could we serve the devils and herd the human race?"

"Would you be content with that?" the Burning Saint asked, his voice low.

"Definitely not. But we have no means to seal that passage now. The Endless Netherworld is too terrifying; we can\'t handle it," the Ape Saint replied, helpless.

"It\'s not just the Endless Netherworld. That foreign Sword Cultivator also hails from a dimension at the same level. What lies ahead will only be more chaotic," the Burning Saint said.

And so, the two demons, burdened with the future of their kind, sank into a deep well of anxiety.

"The stronger the Sword Cultivator world becomes, the more perilous it is for us demons. It seems our only way out is to align with the Endless Netherworld. I\'ve heard that not many powerful beings can come through that passage. With our 80 million-strong demon army and billions of lesser demons, we might still be useful to the devils." The Ape Saint peered into the depths of the cave, raising an eyebrow and wondering, "I wonder what Moon Fairy thinks of this?"

"He\'s coming out," the Burning Saint suddenly announced, his whole body trembling with anticipation.

BUZZ! In an instant, the countless demon soldiers turned their gaze toward the abyss-like cave mouth. Out of the dark, silent world within, a silver-white demon fox emerged. Despite its fox form, it exuded an aura of dominance, vastness, and ancient power. Even the Ape Saint felt an instinctive fear upon seeing it.

"Demon Emperor!" The crowd of demons roared in fervent adoration, their cries shaking the Black Moon Forest.

"He\'s grown stronger!" the Burning Saint exclaimed in awe, exchanging a glance with the Ape Saint.

"From the Blood Lotus Valley, Demon Insect Abyss, Soul-Breaking Cliff, to the Black Moon Forest, it feels like he\'s breaking through at each location. Who knew the Desolate Essences of the four great Demon Emperors would be so effective?" the Ape Saint pondered, deeply shaken.

After a moment of fear, the Burning Saint\'s mood shifted to excitement. "No matter what, Moon Fairy remains the most extraordinary demon in the Demon Continent! Given time, he will surely dominate the Divine Continent\'s human race and slay all foreign humans and devils. How could Forbidden Fate, for his selfish desires, falsely accuse such a terrifying demon of treason?"

This was indeed the strongest Demon Emperor!

"Demon Emperor!" the Ape Saint approached cautiously, "May I ask, what is our next plan for the Demon Continent? Do we fully submit to the devils, becoming their soldiers, to fight a decisive battle against the Divine Continent\'s humans and foreign Sword Cultivators?"

Moon Fairy, standing aloft, his silver fur billowing in the wind, swept its icy gaze over the army of beast demons below. "The Endless Netherworld and the Eternal Sword Prison are forces beyond contest for the Demon Continent. The Sword Cultivators see our demon kind as mere resources, and we naturally cannot coexist with them! But..."

"But what?" the Burning Saint inquired.

"The current situation is unclear, and we are in decline. We should act low-key. If the devils need us, they will come to us," Moon Fairy spoke coldly. "The world\'s passageways may change; we need to be calm and composed, holding the advantage of our 80 million-strong demon army, and wait for the situation to unfold."

"Sounds reasonable!" Both the Ape Saint and the Burning Saint nodded in agreement.

"Before that, I have more pressing matters to attend to," Moon Fairy declared, descending from the cave mouth, transforming into a silver-haired youth, almost indistinguishable in gender. After cultivating the Will of Divine Desolation, his demeanor had become even more enigmatic and ethereal.

"We are at your service, Demon Emperor," the Ape Saint and Burning Saint bowed, the only remaining Demon Saints.

"Indeed, I need you," Moon Fairy stood in front of the Burning Saint, gazing into his eyes. "You were the number one general under Forbidden Fate. You must know where he\'s hiding now?"

The Burning Saint\'s eyes quivered, shaking his head. "I don\'t know."

"Why so nervous? For the Demon Continent, I can set aside past conflicts and work together with him. As the former top Demon Emperor, doesn\'t he even have the courage to meet me?" Moon Fairy said coldly.

"..." The Burning Saint\'s eyes struggled.

"Speak!" the Ape Saint urged.

"Ever since Forbidden Fate returned from the Heavenly Realm, he\'s been missing. But... his origin is from the Forbidden Fate Volcano, born from the resentment of countless corpses thrown into it. After such a heavy blow this time, he should have gone to the volcano to recover first," the Burning Saint revealed.

"The Forbidden Fate Volcano?" Moon Fairy raised an eyebrow.

"Yes. It\'s the largest wilderness in the Demon Continent, forming a volcano. Forbidden Fate was born from the resentment of countless bodies thrown into this volcano... I, too, was once a wildfire within the volcano," the Burning Saint explained.

"Fine. Take me to find him." Moon Fairy looked at the Burning Saint.

"This... I\'m afraid..." the Burning Saint hesitated.

"He\'s not immortal, is he? Are you afraid I\'ll destroy him?" Moon Fairy said with a cold laugh.

"It\'s not that," the Burning Saint bit his teeth, "but Forbidden Fate considers the volcano his sacred ground and forbids any demon from entering. Violators are executed."

"Burning Saint!" Moon Fairy\'s voice grew stern, "It\'s no longer the number one Demon Emperor of the Demon Continent."

Who was the top Demon Emperor now? They both knew very well. The closer the demons were to Moon Fairy, the more terrified they were. They could only entrust their future and hope to him.

Hearing this, the Burning Saint finally made up his mind, clasped his hands in a fist, and said with utmost respect, "Please follow me!"

"Rest here! Wait for the Demon Emperor\'s command!" the Ape Saint ordered the other beast demons.

"Yes!" From the obedient attitude of the beast demons, it was clear that the Demon Continent had already undergone a regime change.

In the center of the Demon Continent was the Forbidden Fate Volcano! This was a desolate, black, barren land with not a blade of grass in sight. The ground was scorched earth. The temperature of the scorched earth was extremely high, with both rocks and mudstone smoking. And from this smoke, Moon Fairy already smelled the scent of Desolate Essence.

"Plenty of Desolate Essence! And not of low grade either..." He walked barefoot on this vast land, his seemingly soft flesh body stepping on lava, yet remaining unharmed. Just this scene alone made the Burning Saint and the Ape Saint watch in awe and fear.

Yun Xiao sent Moon Fairy to rapidly ascend in the Demon Continent for a simple reasonthe five great Demon Emperors and the entire demon race harbored the largest quantity of Desolate Essence within their lairs. Without Desolation Beads and relying only on Desolation Armor, it was difficult to transport vast amounts of Desolate Essence. Their nests were the real treasures!

Now, Moon Fairy had already acquired the Desolate Essence left behind by four of the great Demon Emperors, a legacy of blessings passed down through countless generations of demons. He didn\'t hesitate; he devoured them all without a trace of politeness.

As long as this Desolate Essence existed, the demons would grow stronger with each generation, becoming a bane to the humans. So, Yun Xiao was tackling the root of the demon problem, effectively neutering them.

After absorbing the Desolate Essence of over a hundred Demon Saints and the four great Demon Emperors, his Divine Desolation Physique broke through two stages, advancing from the Establishment stage of the Demon Saint Realm to the Mid stage of the Awakened Demon Emperor Realm.

Now, slaying the four great Demon Emperors was as easy as slaughtering chickens for Moon Fairy. This was precisely why the Ape Saint and the Burning Saint feared him so deeply. After all, squashing them was now as easy as crushing an egg.

And now, Moon Fairy had arrived at the greatest congregation of Desolate Essence in the Demon Continent, the private sanctuary of Forbidden Fate!

Before even stepping into the forbidden territory, the Ape Saint and the Burning Saint dared not proceed further. Their apprehensive glances told Moon Fairy they still feared Forbidden Fate. After all, a dying camel was still bigger than a horse, and Forbidden Fate was not yet dead!

"Rest here," Moon Fairy was quite pleased with their performance. Their imagination had provided him considerable convenience.

"I wish for the Demon Emperor and Forbidden Fate to join hands in harmony, to revitalize the Demon Continent, expel the foreign devils, and suppress the rebellious humans," the Ape Saint expressed his grand wish.

"Don\'t worry, it will happen," Moon Fairy replied with a slight smile. He turned and moved forward, passing through the pitch-black smoke to find a volcanic crater.

"The scent of Desolate Essence. There\'s so much of it!" Moon Fairy\'s eyes blazed with a cold fire. His robe fluttering, he fell like a flower into the volcano! Looking down, he saw a world filled with pale white flames of Desolate Essence and endless thick smoke.

It was a world of silence, wails, and pervasive demonic miasma! The wilderness formed volcanoes and lava, stretching as far as the eye could see. Faced with such a massive amount of Desolate Flames, Moon Fairy\'s Divine Desolation Physique began to boil with excitement.
