Chapter 915: The Entire Internet Was Astonished (2)
“Aiya!” Yu Tang slapped her forehead. “I was so excited to see Qingqing that I forgot to tell her she’s been nominated for the Nine Realms Award.”
Yu Xiheng looked up. “Nine Realms Award?”
Covering her mouth, Yu Tang chuckled, “Uncle Nine, sometimes I think you two are a perfect match, both stuck in the 2G era.”
Yu Xiheng gave her a glance, saying nothing as he took out his phone and began contacting the director of RM.
His English was fluent, with a standard British accent, making it very pleasant to listen to.
At this moment, fully immersed in work, his brows and eyes appeared calm, his features even more handsome and distinguished.
Yu Xiheng spoke slowly, “Yes, that’s correct.”
“Wait!” Yu Tang, whose English was also excellent, sensed something amiss. She suddenly realized, “Uncle Nine, RM isn’t yours, is it?!”
Placing his phone away, Yu Xiheng closed his eyes again. “Not too foolish.”
This time, Yu Tang didn’t retort.
She let out a sigh of relief, rubbing her eyes, and whispered, “That’s good, that’s good. I was worried that after Grandpa passed away, you’d be left homeless. I was even ready to hand over my little savings to Qingqing to support you.”
Though she disliked staying in the Yu family, she was aware of its affairs, which only made her more disgusted.
She only sided with Yu Xiheng and her Great Uncle Yu Qishan.
Yu Tang also knew what people in Sijiu’s circle said about Yu Xiheng. She had heard too many times that Yu Xiheng, considered a good-for-nothing, would eventually be kicked out of the Yu family and wouldn’t survive in Sijiu.
The market value of RM was over a trillion, an international enterprise incomparable to the Yu Group.
Yu Tang was finally relieved.
After a moment of silence, Yu Xiheng smiled. “That won’t happen.”
He handed her a bank card. “If you need anything, come to me or find Qingqing. Now, go to class. Focus on your studies and don’t worry about anything else.”
After Yu Xiheng left, Yu Tang stood there, holding the bank card in a daze.
She hadn’t done anything, so how did she suddenly gain an unexpected fortune?!
Clutching the card, Yu Tang decided to buy three pounds of spicy crayfish to treat herself.
Yesterday, Lu Xingheng had helped her clear a few game levels. After some thought, Yu Tang called him to invite him to a meal.
She truly was a kind-hearted girl.
**
On the other side.
Even before Yu Tang could mention it, as soon as Si Fuqing returned to the hotel, she received congratulations from various friends.
Sang Yanqing also came to congratulate her.
Si Fuqing was surprised. “I’ve been nominated for the Nine Realms Award?”
Sang Yanqing sighed, “… you really don’t go online.”
“The internet is full of mixed content, including many haters and jealous people,” Si Fuqing said lazily. “Out of sight, out of mind.”
Sang Yanqing nodded. “Indeed, it’s official news. The opening ceremony of this year’s Nine Realms Award happens to be hosted by Eastern Mulberry. You can attend the award ceremony while you go there to play games.”
Seeing her nomination for the Nine Realms Award did surprise Si Fuqing.
“Crossing the Demon Realm” was her first drama, not perfect. While the audience might not notice its flaws, she did.
Only by constantly identifying and improving on her shortcomings could she advance further in her career.
She had already noted down some of these flaws and planned to correct them while filming “The Nation’s Heroine.”
Si Fuqing called Director Tang Haiqiu. “Director Tang, did you submit ‘Crossing the Demon Realm’ for the Nine Realms Award?”
“Yes, but the Nine Realms Award, like the Cloud Award, typically doesn’t nominate supernatural dramas,” Tang Haiqiu was equally surprised. “I didn’t expect it to be nominated.”
Not only was Si Fuqing nominated for Best Actress, but he was also nominated for Best Director.
A xianxia drama usually couldn’t compete with other serious dramas, yet Si Fuqing had made it to the nomination list, a testament to her undeniable talent.
Even Tang Haiqiu felt like he was dreaming.
He had won all the major and minor directing awards in the country. Ten years ago, he had submitted “Sword Immortal” to the Nine Realms Award panel, but it was eliminated in the first round.
Ten years later, Si Fuqing had helped him achieve this dream.
“Actually, there’s still room for improvement,” Si Fuqing smiled. “The nomination probably had some help from IFV.”
“I think so too, but it’s already quite an accomplishment. If you don’t win this time, there’s always next time,” Tang Haiqiu remained optimistic. “Director Lu is meticulous, and your acting is outstanding. ‘The Nation’s Heroine’ will surely earn you the title of Grand Slam Best Actress.”
He paused, mentioning a name, “I looked at the nominee list. Most likely, this year’s Best Actress will go to Misha Walls, a Glenn award-winning actress.”
Si Fuqing nodded softly. “Yes, she’s indeed very impressive.”
Tang Haiqiu was surprised. “You know her?”
Misha Walls, already in her sixties and a foreign actress, was from a different generation than Si Fuqing. It seemed unlikely she would know her.
Si Fuqing’s tone was lazy. “I know her.”
She had once worked on a film with Misha Walls and had received guidance from this veteran actress.
It was surprising that after all these years, Misha Walls had also started acting in TV dramas.
She sincerely hoped her mentor would win the Nine Realms Award, achieving success in both film and television.
“About what happened yesterday, I was quite angry too,” Tang Haiqiu sneered. “Not only are you withdrawing from the Golden Flower Award, but I am also pulling out. Do they really think we are easy to bully?”
He had already united with over ten directors, preparing to issue a joint statement to protest and boycott the Golden Flower Award.
The Golden Flower Award’ panel of judges had criticized “Crossing the Demon Realm” for its supposedly improper values, denying his efforts.
Moreover, the panel’s criticisms were blatantly dishonest.
Even someone as good-natured as Tang Haiqiu couldn’t tolerate this.
However, nothing was more satisfying than a nomination to refute the critics.
A Nine Realms Award nomination was on par with winning a Cloud Award.
A Golden Flower Award simply couldn’t compare.
With newfound confidence, Tang Haiqiu was ready to take action.
After the call ended, Si Fuqing finally logged into Weibo.

Several trending topics stood out in stark contrast.
The Nine Realms Awards had released an image of Si Fuqing in armor, looking every bit the valiant and spirited warrior.
Si Fuqing admired the picture for a moment. “I look really good.”
“Alright, we know you look good. Those Best Actor and Actress winners from the Golden Flower Awards have already deleted their posts,” Sang Yanqing, arms crossed, scoffed. “Too bad for them, deleting won’t help. The marketing accounts have already taken screenshots and mocked them. They really brought this on themselves.”
“Do I seem like someone who swallows their pride?” Si Fuqing raised an eyebrow, her expression relaxed. “Clearly not.”
“They’ve already lost face, and I feel satisfied,” Sang Yanqing nodded. “You’re definitely not someone to swallow their pride. You’re more likely to dominate them. With your Nine Realms Award nomination, you could practically be their mentor now.”
Si Fuqing: “…”
She was always made out to be some sort of bully.
She was clearly the most good-tempered person.
Si Fuqing took a sip of her cola and leisurely posted on Weibo.
She tagged the official Golden Flower Awards account and Tong Luoyun herself, attaching a picture of her Nine Realms Award nomination.
[@SiFuqingV: Thanks to the Golden Flower Awards panel of judgies for their guidance, thanks to senior Tong Luoyun for her teachings, and thanks to all the past Best Actors and Actresses of the Golden Flower Awards for criticizing my ambitions. Your criticism has led to my Nine Realms Award nomination. Thank you for your denial; without it, I wouldn’t have succeeded today. Thank you, everyone.”
The Golden Flower panel of judges was made speechless.
Tong Luoyun too, didn’t know how to respond.
