Chapter 56 - Blessing

Hell, these systems are supposed to be command-directed machines? In case that I forget things, I should think of this as important.

I was baffled! This is my first time feeling like another person. This is my power?! So it means... I can help Ellena more than I can do right now?...

My hands, my whole body to be exact, were glowing in light colors. Feels like the light made my blueish skin more vibrant as I observe it gleaming beautifully.

This majestic view of my body feels mystical.

I shook my head to return to reality, as I saw Ellena was still fighting the monkeys. Our connections seem to get stronger than before since I am connecting with her to have blessed her better. The Pixie Root also seems to have a connection with me, but there\'s no direction. It\'s more like engraved to my soul,  access to a celestial source.

Ellena was grasping her sword in her grip, swinging it with ease. It appears to be that my blessing buffed her stamina control. Her breathing also seems better than before, making her use all her stamina promptly.

There seems to be no more shocking thing in this world, or what I thought. I\'m too arrogant and ignorant that I even set my standards. It should be that I have to expect more, we are just even at a dot of the world from what I can remember.

There are plenty of nations in this world. Plenty of continents and oceans. There\'s nothing I should close, like my expectations.

I wished for another knowledge, so I have to grasp anything I could get.

At a distance, I saw Ellena finishing off the fight. It appears that there are at least 50 monkeys. I never thought that they are plenty since leaves and branches are covering my field of view.

I slowly flew down next to her. As the blessing went off, I searched for the reason for it.

I see... so it was just for a short moment. This means I can\'t bless her unlimited because there\'s a limit to her stamina.

If she has more stamina, I think I can help her more, but since it depleted to 20% before I could bless her, the duration was short so that she won\'t drain herself completely.

Moments later, she appears to be breathing fine. I guess there\'s nothing I should be worried about. That experience was a learning one for me. I should not underestimate the surrounding.

"Ellena seems like we knew now."

"Yup." She nodded. "I was overconfident that I could at least fight numerous B-rank monsters. But I never anticipated they\'re that plenty." She added.

So she gets it too. Why did that I haven\'t thought of her using stealth to easily pass the rainforest? Like, we could but seems like Ellena wants a fight.

Even though I warned her, I can\'t argue with her. She\'s my master obviously, my host in reality. I can\'t act opposing her. I just have a percentage of control over myself but she has the dominance.

I think we must never forget this. Not until we could get her more stamina. B-rank monsters are not easy to fight since they have more endurance than C-rank monsters that we often meet.

"So... I guess you should rest first. Activate your [Stealth] minimally to regain your stamina."

"That\'s the idea. I\'ll do it right away. But what should we do with this plenty of materials?"

We can sell this, but it can be useless since we have plenty of money. And money is never a problem for us since she is an adventurer, we will take more quests to raise her rank.

So if I think of it properly, we can use it to improve her equipment. Bones of Evergreen Monkeys are known to be strong, so they are mostly used as an ingredient for a strong sword.

"I guess you could keep it for a moment. After that, perhaps you can improve your equipment using it." I said that took her interest.

"So we can use this as materials for my equipment?"

"Do I need to repeat myself? It\'s called materials for that purpose." I sarcastically said without any malice.

"Sorry. Chill... Haha! Let\'s go, I\'ll rush through this rainforest with my stealth so that I can meet the city within a day."

That\'s reckless. However, I can\'t say it since she got a point. At least, I think that rushing through this instead of fighting would help us with our pace.

"That\'s okay." I just agreed.

She picked up the corpse one by one then put them in the inventory. At first, I was worried that it might get full, but yeah... It was useless since it was unlimited space. I just don\'t know where they got that space, I\'m curious actually. If I could study it, however, it\'s impossible for obvious reasons.

Sooner, we started to continue our journey. While her stealth is activated, I inspect the area just to be sure that she is safe from ambush.

There are plenty of monsters, there is the even stronger one that nearly noticed Ellena, but thankfully she fully activated the ability.

They have a weird-looking animal appearance. Perhaps enough to be called mutated, but mutated are grosser than them.

Animals that appear in rainforests are mostly what monsters are in here. But there are still new monsters that I can\'t recognize since descriptions are more common than sketches in this world.

I can just assume that artists are expensive. Even without meeting one, I know that they have a high-rate of fee since they need more time than others.

Nonetheless, it\'s not important right now.

"What\'s that?" Ellena pointed something at a distance.

I searched what she was pointing to and to my surprise, it was a settlement. At first, I thought it was a golem type of monster since it has different types of colors.  Walls have different colors.

Is this a tribe or something? In the middle of a rainforest? There are still uncivilized people here? I guess, not to be judging, calling them uncivilized since they are behind the current human civilization.

"I think that\'s a village," I said.

"Village? In the middle of a dangerous forest?"

"I don\'t know. Perhaps if you\'re curious, we can have a stop for a while."

"Hmmm... let\'s do it. I\'m curious right now.." She uttered before shifting the direction where the settlement was.
