Chapter 301
The man started feeling anxious after hearing the abrupt warning. To mention killing trespassers as if it was getting rid of annoying flies made the man gulp.
However, the man’s question about why Marquis Byron Sunrise respected Vincent and why Byron treated Vincent like a friend of a somewhat noble ranked level was almost solved. After looking inside the property and seeing what Vincent highly valued to kill for, the man believed he could gain the answer.
Eliara and the man following her left while Tula and Yula arrived.
Vincent, Yula, Lenn, Renn, Tula, Olive, and Lian waved at Fliara guarding the gate alone and left.
Plow turned her head and felt happy to have an enormous place to run to her heart’s content. She waved one of her tails and happily perched on Vincent’s shoulders.
Plow felt even happier when most of the attention was on her. Whenever people passed by them, she felt like a famous little fox and mostly looked at her. Her eight tails gleamed under the sun and her little paw as well.
A couple of hours later, after walking and sightseeing at the same time, they arrived at their primary destination as they found a road that led them almost straight to Tula’s family house.
However, it took longer than expected because Tula was excited and wanted to play a game with Olive and Lian. The two children and child-minded Tula played count the trees and light lamps.
.....
Tula was also about to play count the people wearing luxurious and refined clothing, but her mother quickly stopped her daughter in fear of causing more ruckus than she was already causing.
Yula feared they would get involved in a dangerous situation with a noble if Tula recklessly did as she was about to do. Yula wanted to live in peace with her family and cause Vincent no trouble.
“This is my home, hehe. Follow me to my room and see my fluffy soft toys.” Tula waved the door key in her hand and ran to open the door. Tula then waved her hand vigorously for Olive and Lian to follow her.
*Sigh* “Don’t rush and bring what you need in the kitchen.” Yula ordered.
“We will check on them, mother. Please don’t worry about elder sister Tula too much. ” Lenn said.
“Yes, we don’t have a lot to choose what to bring since we decided to bring everything with us. ” Renn added.
“Yula, Lenn, and Renn, you can go ahead. I will join you all after I check my storage space. ” Vincent proposed.
Yula, Lenn, and Renn nodded and entered the house.
Vincent was left outside in front of the door alone with Plow. He closed his eyes and focused on upgrading his Soul Dimensional Storage.
.
[Wish to mutate Soul Dimensional Storage has been detected.]
[Mutation of Soul Dimensional Storage is available.]
[Will you spend 10sp to mutate Soul Dimensional Storage?]
.
[Accept -20sp] [Decline]
.
“Accept. ” Vincent murmured.
.
[-20sp to mutate Soul Dimensional Storage. 20sp Remaining.]
[Soul Dimensional Storage stage one (1/10 | 8) increased to stage one (2/10 | 8) ]
[Soul Dimensional Storage 12xCubed mutated to 13xCubed.]
.
“I hope this is enough because I want to keep some soul power for emergencies. ” Vincent said since the future is still uncertain if danger or peace will bless them next.
[Well, we can make another transportation trip another time. Since today is not a date day with the girls, we are not in a hurry.]
“Vincent Vincent. Plow does not understand.” *Pho* Plow didn’t know what Vincent did since she couldn’t see the skill upgrade window.
Vincent raised his hands and lifted Plow. He placed her on the ground and said, “Shall we go to help?”
*Pho, pho~* Plow barked cheerfully and ran inside. Vincent smirked and followed the cute little fox wagging her tails inside.
Everyone exited the house about an hour later, and Yula locked the entrance door. She and her children took a considerable of steps away and looked at the house as if they weren’t going to ever return.
“You can return whenever you want. This is still your main home.” Vincent said. He felt guilty somehow as if he was stealing them from their homes by the way they were acting.
“I will come here once in a while. ” Yula said. She turned to her children and asked, “Who will come with me?”
“Me!” Tula, Olive, Lian, Lenn, and Renn replied one after the other with their hands raised. The two demigoblin kids Olive and Lian, seemed to have had fun.
Tula went over to her mother and begged, “Mommy. Can I please show my friends the nice fountain next?”
*Sigh* “We have many things to pack in our new rooms, so I don’t think we can.” Yula was trying to decline without hurting her daughter’s feelings when Vincent interrupted, “Why not? Let’s go. It will perhaps take an extra hour.”
Vincent looked at Olive and Lian. “Since the two of you can’t go out whenever you wish to, how about we go and have a little bit more fun today?” He said.
Olive and Lian jumped cheerfully after hearing this.
“Thank you. We wanted to see the fountain thingy. We never saw water flying from the ground.” Both said after a couple of jumps.
Vincent looked at Yula and saw her showing a nod. He nodded back at her, and both of them led the eye-catching group to the center of the south district area where the fountain was located.
The only fountain roundabout in the massive Lusterfall City was located in the south district. It connected the middle-class district with the low-class district. Furthermore, most of the roads and paths in the high-class noble district were connected to this fountain for easy access and management.
The area around the fountain was the second most secure place beside the south gate’s barracks because some adventurers try to make a name for themselves whenever a crime happens nearby.
Many adventurers wanted to promote themselves. They helped people in need to gain fame and increase their chances of working for a noble to live a more effortless and healthier life. Such a charitable reason born from the greed to make a name for themselves made the center of the south district the safest place to live in.
A while later, the fountain entered their sight. Olive and Lian’s eyes sparkled when they saw the water on the top of the fountain raise and scatter on all sides. It was magical to them as it defied the law of gravity to them.
They saw many people chatting and idling by the fountain. They also saw a couple of stands selling a variety of times and people collecting around them to make a purchase. It was still morning, yet beside the fountain was full of life.
“It looks like you two didn’t pass from here while taking the horses back to their stables.” Vincent easily guessed by how Olive and Lian were acting all jolly and excited.
“I could not very see well. I was afraid...” Olive said with a somewhat sad expression on her face.
“I had to hold the horsy with my two hands. I didn’t want to fly and get hurt.” Lian confirmed how difficult it was to keep up with the unrestrained Lupa. The two little demigoblins had to hold on to the horses for their lives, it seemed.
“Familiars! Come and get your familiars!” This was the first loud voice from a stand vendor to enter their ears.
Vincent turned his gaze and blurted out, “It’s that piece of shit again.”
*Pho!* Plow barked angrily.
“Ah! It’s the bad man that sold Plow! ” Tula exclaimed.
Lenn and Renn turned their heads and agreed with a nod about the bad man part. Even if an animal trader treats his animals as merchandise, they should keep the animals happy until they hopefully acquire a new good owner who wants them.
“Let’s go and say hi. I want to show him how cute Plow became.” Vincent decided.
“Plow is cute.” *Pho* “Plow wants to show the bad man how Plow is not junk.” *Pho!* Plow liked the idea. She wanted to show the familiar vendor how much better she became after Vincent purchased her and how everyone took great care of her.
Vincent headed toward the familiar vendor’s stand.
Yula knew how easy it was to get lost, so she held Olive and Lian’s hands and followed Vincent to the familiar vendor’s stand. She wanted to see the person who kept Plow in such a horrible condition simply because no one wanted to buy her.
“Familiars for sale. Come and get...” The vendor noticed a man with a little blue fox perched on his shoulder and glaring at him as if he was its nemesis.
“You... I remember you. You ended up buying a different blue fox I see. It seems you won over the ladies with the pitiable fox I sold you and later threw it away.” The vendor said. His words made Plow reveal her teeth and growl in anger.
“Is that all you have to say? I thought you were smarter than this...” *sigh* “Why would the fox on my shoulders be so angry when you said I threw her away? That’s because this is the same fox I bought from you.” Vincent shook his head in disappointment and mocked the vendor. He wanted to say more, but kids were in his presence.
The vendor didn’t believe Vincent’s words and said, “But that is a different fox no matter how much you.”
