Chapter 204
Just judging based on the size of this city, Alex knew it was nowhere as big as a large country on earth. There should be not more than, five million Estos residing here at best. Meanwhile, humans have numbers and the power to fight back now.
Under the leadership of the Danites, it’s only a matter of time before the allied forces of various races fall.
“I can also guess the Estos race is not part of the allied forces. The prideful look on everyone’s faces tells me all I have to know about people like you. Even after showcasing a secret technique that has never been used on this planet before, they won’t investigate much. They will simply believe this power was created by the brilliance of the Estos race... Disgusting” Alex snorted coldly which made the lady frown.
She could only sit and listen to everything Alex had to say while suppressing her emotions enough to make Alex notice her anxiety. She couldn’t help but bother how he was even able to come to the same conclusion after fighting Jalic Gale. This is surprising for someone who should know little about this race. How can you judge effectively simply based on the look on someone’s face?
This is just ridiculous!
“What are you trying to say?” The lady said with a frown on her face.
“I’m saying the Estos race aren’t dumb and they shouldn’t think I am too. My body parts were recovered and I know after the brain transplant it wasn’t wasted. You all have other plans for it but it will be a waste. So I’m going to give you all two options, wait for me to get stronger enough to kill half your population and get back what’s mine or you can all start preparing for a Gene linkage and recombination. I am the only one who can challenge the humans, I am the only one who can kill my son. No one else will do that” Alex said coldly before he walked out, leaving the lady pale in fear.
This person should be twenty years at most before his death, yet he was more terrifying than the elders of this planet. What the hell created such a beast? And how did he know his body remnants are still there?
.....
“He wants a Gene linkage and recombination. Fusing his current gene with his previous gene. That will his deviant powers back. This is simply us trying to reawaken a monster!” The lady shivered.
“We need cooperation with him. If he isn’t handicapped that would never happen. Should he get back his main deviant powers nothing stops him from flying out of this city and fending for himself while killing the mutant beast and using their beast cores to strengthen himself. After a few months or a year from now, he would be at his peak and then he will demand to go back.” Jalic Gale said. His voice seemed to be coming from the necklace worn by the lady.
He was listening to their conversation.
“I brought him here in hopes of retaking the lands the Estos lost and making me great through the name of Jaric Gale. Giving him this power will deviate from that part. By the way, gene linkage and recombination is a very dangerous process. He may die during the process.” Jalic Gale muttered with a frown.
No matter what he couldn’t help but shake, Alex’s words off his head. Even a fool knows those are not empty threats. He was simply telling them what he plans to do and he will definitely do it.
Jalic expects the Bronze statue which is the main source of his martial power to be extremely difficult to learn if not impossible. What he doesn’t know is that even though Alex is improving at a very slow pace, each time his power rises as an Estos and his energy reserves increase, he will be able to practice even faster.
It was just a matter of time before he regains his power. Thanks to the energy revolver ability, he is practically the power source he needs to get stronger. Just a weak power source.
.......
Meanwhile, Alex laid down on his bed with a frown. He was secretly running the bronze statue secret technique while pondering on everything he has heard. He couldn’t his mind off Tracy and the rest. If they had just told him their plans he would have found a way around it. There was a possibility of victory now he was given a reason to fight. Yet they didn’t hesitate to kill him.
Each time he remembered her crying, after driving her energy blade into his heart, he felt intense rage.
He was the one in pain and she was the one crying.
“Everything I did was to ensure a life where we can all wake up and make our choices with no one telling us what we have to do! A life we both dreamt of, Silver. I know I was losing the battle but I could have won. With the child there I was willing to fight twice as hard but you never gave me a chance. None of you did” Alex muttered as he closed his eyes and concentrated.
Images of their time together flashed across his eyes but he couldn’t feel anything anymore. His emotions died along with his old body, leaving him with what one could consider nothing. He wasn’t even sure his soul remained because he was sure he died. There was darkness all through, a peaceful one.
His mind got transplanted so this is just a soulless body with his memories, trying to do what’s right by him. As far as he is concerned the real Alex Briggs is dead.
