Chapter 335 - It Was All Worth It (1)
"Thank you, Mr. Xu but I don\'t think there\'s a need for that. This is a family matter this time. Whether I would be able to keep my position or not would not be confirmed with any amount of investment." Tang moyu said.
"You aren\'t worried that they would oust you?" Xu Wenyang asked her back.
"No." The empress shook her head. "I only acquired Tang Enterprise to teach my family a lesson. It was a warning not to mess with me. It was their own fault for selling those shares blindly."
However, that didn\'t mean that the employees of the company would be pleased if the empress was ever removed from her seat. Over half a year had passed. Not only was she able to save the company from the brink of bankruptcy, but Tang Moyu was also able to raise its status higher compared to any of the CEOs before her. Whether she liked it or not, Tang Moyu had gained followers within the company, the talented ones on top of that.
Xu Wenyang chuckled and leaned against the wall next to the window, knowing that the empress had a back up plan if ever she did lose Tang Enterprise. Not many people had known about Tang Moyu\'s involvement in Xiao Xing Diamond Co. which the devil had started recently, but Xu Wenyang knew that the empress would eventually get personally involved with the company sooner or later.
???Look, Little Star. Isn\'t he cute?" Li Meili cooed the newborn in her arms while letting the little girl take a peek over her shoulder. "You were smaller than this when your Mommy gave birth to you and your brother."
"Ohh… he\'s so small." Little Star gasped. Were all babies really this small when they were born? How did they even fit in their Mommy\'s small tummy? She wondered. It was really a wonder for the little girl how babies were able to grow inside their mommies.
Lin Qianrou giggled at Little Star\'s expression while her husband sat next to her on the bed, looking at their son proudly. After years of being married, they finally had a child to complete their small family. He swore to make sure that Qian and their son would be provided for, always.
"How are you feeling, Qian?" Tang Moyu asked her friend. She knew how giving birth could be taxing on a woman\'s body, but Lin Qianrou was lucky to have a supportive husband next to her as she gave birth.
"I\'m tired, Sister Moyu, but seeing our baby… All the pain and exhaustion was worth it." Lin Qianrou answered. She never thought that she would feel so much love and adoration for this precious life. Upon seeing her son for the first time, it literally moved her to tears.
Tang Moyu nodded. She could somehow relate to that. She remembered briefly how hard it was for her back then, to give birth to her twins in a foreign land with only Li Meili on her side. Qian was right. All the pain was worth it when her eyes landed on the pair of sweet little buns for the first time.
She turned her attention towards Xu Wenyang, already knowing what was on his mind.
"I know what you are thinking about, but you need to cut time from work. You wouldn\'t want to miss your son\'s milestone by digging your own grave at work."
He would want to make sure that Qian and their newborn baby would have everything they would need. He might even start working long hours and neglect his wife again. Not something Tang Moyu wanted to see happening to her good friend once more. The two had already wasted enough time assuming things, without actually talking to each other.
Lin Qianrou and Li Meili immediately laughed when they heard the empress\'s warning, while Xu Wenyang scratched his head as if he was caught red handed by the empress. She was right. He would be damned if he missed their baby\'s earliest years by choosing work over his family.
"It won\'t happen again, Miss Tang. They are my life now." He grinned before kissing his wife\'s temple, pulling her into an embrace while they both watched Tang Moyu\'s little buns fawn over their newborn baby.
He had everything that he wanted. A loving family, and supportive friends who won\'t think twice to remind him to become a better person for his family.
Before Li Meili and the Tangs left, Tang Moyu held Lin Qianrou\'s hand.
"Qian, if ever you need help, Meili and I are just one phone call away, okay? You don\'t have to keep everything to yourself." She reminded her friend. Being pregnant with a child was hard, but having a newborn to take care of when she herself needed to recover would be harder.
Lin Qianrou nodded and smiled widely at her Sister Moyu. The empress rarely spoke to her, but whenever she did, it was to remind Qian that she wasn\'t alone, which the latter greatly appreciated.
"Thank you, Sister Moyu." She glanced at Li Meili who was still holding her son. "You too, Meili."
Lin Qianrou didn\'t have any siblings, but with Tang Moyu and Li Meili around, she felt like she had gained two big sisters, a true blessing in her life.
